I'm probably a few years older than you because Bob Backlund was the first "good guy" I connected to. the a couple years later Skaland threw on the towel when the Sheik had Backlund in the camel clutch. after that it was Hogan all the way. actually, it wasn't until about 5yrs ago that I finally saw some of Hogan's japan matches. holy crap! what a difference in match style. some of the moves I saw him do I never saw him do once while in the AWA, WWF or WCW. I know he was told at least by Gagne to only wrestle 'big man' style matches while in the states. I have to assume Vince told him the same and I assume at some point his body couldn't perform a Japanese style match anymore. had the pleasure of seeing Hogan wrestle Rick Rude at the Boston gardens once. I saw him on CCTV at Wrestlemania from the Boston gardens and one Monday Nitro match from the Boston gardens. can't recall the date on that one. I do miss going to the house shows back in the 80's. they were fun and it's often unpredictable. sorry. I realize you didn't ask for my wrestling history autobiography.

A freaking Circus de Soleil performance where dude knock each other out without even touching each other, the rating prove that.. 90million people watched Hogan and Andre on SNME ,now your a hit if you get 2million...because it's not entertaining, kids don't watch it, that is the demo that used to be the most important, now..just a bunch of 30 year old dudes. I used to live in Tampa. You could literally bump into almost any wrestler at any given moment. I’ve gotten multiple pictures and autographs from several of them with the exception of hulk hogan. This wasn’t an instance that he was with his family or trying to stay low key and private. It was at a place of business. I approached him and asked for a picture and he said “I don’t flick bitch”. So I guess when bischoff says he’ll go out of his way to make that person feel special it must be when all eyes are on him and he has to put on the show.

After careful consideration, I can actually see Hogan saying something like this. If you've ever heard him on Bubba's show(which blows my mind considering the guy secretly taped him banging his wife...I guess weirdos stick together) he likes to talk like a teenager from the late 90s. Saying things like "shi-zit"(shit) and "gri-zeen"(green) the guy is a "di-zouche bi-zag". But I am surprised he called you a bitch without being provoked.

Yes Vince was the one who put an end to the territory days, but he needed Hogan as his front man & face of the company to do it. Vince has done interviews where he’s said that it wouldn’t have worked without Hogan. At the end of the day, he’s just a person & has his flaws as we all do. There’s wrestlers who did everything Hulk Hogan’s been accused of doing with the “backstage politics”, and they’re praised by people like Jim Cornette for “protecting their spot”. Look at Steve Austin leaving WWE, and breaching his contract over “creative differences”. But because the smarks don’t like Hogan, they make him out to be this self serving manipulator, who spent his entire career steamrolling people. Even The Rock is guilty of this outside of wrestling. He stars Black Adam, which is a Captain Marvel/Shazam villain. Despite a Shazam movie coming out a few years before, he fights to have any and all connections with that film removed. Instead, he wants to tease a fight with Superman, as he’s the “bigger draw”.

Hogan is by far the most important wrestler of all time and to this day is still the one who fascinates the public the most which is why we still see so many shoot videos about him and so many people who weren't even born when he was in his prime talking (often ignorantly) about him. A great wrestler is one who draws money like Al Snow said. But in addition, to be the very best ever, a wrestler has to have longevity and be know mainstream. Austin made money, but he didn't have anything like Hulks longevity and wasn't anywhere near as famous to a mainstream audience. Rock was known mainstream, but his wrestling career was nowhere near as long and successful as Hulks. Rock was more successful as an actor, but as a wrestler, he didn't have a career nearly as big as Hulks. Flair had the longevity but wasn't nearly as mainstream famous. Hogan had a career that spanned from wrestling thee most famous guys in the business as far back as Inoki and Andre. Then onto Macho Man for probably the greatest long term story in wrestling history which grew from before Mania 3 with Andre to Mania 4 and the formation of the Mega Powers to feud with Andre and Dibiase, then up to the eventual explosion and main eventing Mania 5 together. A truly groundbreaking feud and story told perfectly by all involved. From his Rocky 3 appearance, to his crossover with the MTV audience to having his own cartoon and starring in movies before anyone else did it, he really was far bigger than anyone we have seen before or since. Into the 90s, he then feuds with Flair and Undertaker. Headlines almost an entire decade of Wrestlemania from 1 to 9 and then joins WCW and puts that company on top with the NWO and heel character. Again wrestling more legends of another generation like Sting and Goldberg. After WCW he returns to have the Rock match at Mania. The match between the 2 biggest box office stars ever. And goes on to wrestle guys like Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle or HHH, Vince himself, HBK and Randy Orton in his later years. Who else has wrestled such big names as Antonio Inoki and Andre the Giant, Ric Flair and Randy Savage, The Rock and The Undertaker, Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar. Such big names over such a long spell whilst becoming so big that they are known mainstream, worldwide, starring in movies, being a cartoon and still getting talked about regularly 45 years after the began wrestling? I didn't know who John Cena was when I stopped watching wrestling for a long spell. Why? Because he wasn't able to become so famous that I, as a then non wrestling fan, knew who he was. I don't think I know a single person over the age of 20 who wouldn't know who Hulk Hogan is. There has never been anyone in the entire industry who has been as much of a box office draw as Hogan has. And I say all this as someone who as a child ALWAYS wanted him to lose. He was the first wrestler I ever heard of. I didn't even see wrestling till I was 7, but somehow I knew who he was before starting school at 5. I don't know how that was possible. All other wrestlers rank below Hulk in the great pyramid of wrestling. There's the Hulkster ... Then there's everybody else. BROTHER

Sooo, basically, Hogan was in pain just like every other wrestler. Hogan got divorced (his own fault by the way) just like every other wrestler. The only difference between him and other wrestlers is Hogan was so self-serving he sucked dry not one but two wrestling businesses. Hogan famously used and abused his power to the detriment of several wrestlers. It’s to the point everyone has lost count of how many wrestlers Hogan has used and abused. Yes, he changed the business. However, he has done so many negative things that the bad outshines the good.
@parismccoy202 ай бұрын
I disagree. There are a lot of wrestlers that have done a lot of bad things, Chris Benoit, Steve Austin, Jimmy Snucka, Ric Flair, Jake the Snake, X-Pac etc... People hated him because of success, and trust me, they would trade sets with him in a heartbeat and probably do a lot worse than he did.

Okay but Cruise is actually a pilot and could fly a fighter jet if he had proper clearnace. He has flown a P51

Cruise does fly a P-51 propeller-driven fighter plane, as well as some helicopters, but doesn't own a Jet Fighter, nor has he f;own 1. Try using GOOGLE to get actual information. Here I'll help you. www.google.com/search?q=Tom+cruise+fighter+jet+license&newwindow=1&client=ubuntu&hs=VSj&sca_esv=581776001&channel=fs&ei=O2hRZZWxB4qshbIPtZanyAE&ved=0ahUKEwjVusDl1r-CAxUKVkEAHTXLCRkQ4dUDCA8&oq=Tom+cruise+fighter+jet+licenced&gs_lp=Egxnd3Mtd2l6LXNlcnAiH1RvbSBjcnVpc2UgZmlnaHRlciBqZXQgbGljZW5jZWRIAFAAWABwAHgBkAEAmAEAoAEAqgEAuAEMyAEA4gMEGAAgQQ&sclient=gws-wiz-serp

HOGAN is WRESTLING!! Like it or not. He is the SUPERMAN or SPIDERMAN of the WRESTLING industry. Watch him in Japan. He could wrestle. He put asse's on seats for years and years.

That was long ago. He stayed in way too long in this business stepping and holding other upcoming guys down. He lived long enough to become a villain.

Credit where credit is due. Couldn't keep up with a Bret Hart or an Arn Anderson.

Why not wrestle here like he did in Japan

Actually, Tom Cruise does know how to fly a fighter jet. So that was a really bad comparison. 🤣

Pay is based on drawing power. If you put more bums on cinema seats, you get paid more.

I thought shoot means heat, I thought a shoot involved some heat, not praise.
@brianpowers37426 ай бұрын
‘Shoot’ means ‘truth’ or ‘real’. Heat can be a couple of things. ‘heat ‘ somebody hates you. Or Beating up the babyface to get ‘heat’. Get people mad at you..

I bet Howard stern already knew what happened with Bubba's wife when he was asking him questions and beating around the bush and Hulk kept saying no way, and " man code"....

24:16 Barber Beefcake's body language and narration tells me that he's absolutely lying. Plus how long does he ramble on, only to say Hulk has a Jet-Ski accident ? Just feels off to me ? PS. Best promo BTBB ever did, It's really sad.
