If you remember Vince actually counter-sued Martha Hart to get the lawsuit moved. Why? Because had it worked and Vince was found liable (WHICH THE WWE WAS!) they wouldn't have had to pay any damages to Martha. Vince McMahon cares for one thing and only one thing, MONEY. People are steps, or things to use and walk on to achieve your goal. Also if you research back, both Vince and Linda McMahon were fully aware that they had a pedophile on their own team. A Penn State meets wwf scenario. Pat Patterson was repeatedly caught sexually assaulting teenage boys, and Vince AND Linda, Linda a Mother!, helped cover it up and keep him employed. I cannot and will never watch or support that company in ANYTHING that they do ever again. The more research I've done, the more sickeningly deviant behavior I found. That family makes me sick, and add this feather to Vince's cap. Once Stephanie "grew-up" and filled out her clothes, Daddy Vince McMahon wanted to have a storyline that had Vince and Stephanie McMahon in a "incestuous" relationship. WTF? WHO DOES THIS?!?!? Who would even think it? Oddly Stephanie McMahon said that she was a bit apprehensive of this. A bit? Makes you wonder what's really happening in that house? Sickening freaks!

@CrackTube1

When you proclaim "truth" you seem to forget a few things: People who are rich and successful (usually) have a prickish douche side. For most it's a prerequisite, it tends to get them further than most people who aren't comfortable going as far as some others in getting what they want. Also there tends to be loads of negative stories about people who are famous/successful as they tend to be polarising figures with some legitimate beefs against them and some made up/exaggerated stories motivated by jealousy. No doubt he is and has been an immoral MFer in his life, just like most people on KZbin and EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD EVER. It's easy to present the narrative that someone is evil/immoral etc when they're such a big well known target. It's a lazy way of taking a shot and a roundabout way of saying he's a human being who's had the balls to get what he wants, win the game of life and do some horrible shizz along the way. The only difference to a fkload of regular people is how much he's won.

Vince only cared about himself. He made wrestling popular but at the same time he ruined it and the lives of a lot of wrestlers. Vince is greedy, manipulative, unfaithful , disrespected, racist, etc. Vince only looked like he knew what he was doing cause of the people he used to surround himself with . Arnold Skaaland , Pat Patterson, gorilla monsoon, Gerald Briscoe and more. Once those guys passed away , Vince’s ideas became 💩.

I always wondered how they tried to maintain realism in the days of kayfabe whenever they had to restart a match, such as the one where McMahon made Savage and Flair do their entire match over again because he did not like it. I imagine the wrestlers would have to do the match completely different the second time, because if they did every move the same then it would look suspicious to the audience. Some wrestlers would have no problem improvising a new match, but I also think of Randy Savage because he liked to plan every second of the match ahead of time.

The movie that’s going to be made about Vince McMahon, after he’s dead. Is going to be greater than every wrestling storyline we’ve ever seen. Celebrate him now, because after the credits roll. The real messed up thing is if any of you have ever had back problems you know going to the emergency room is a waste of time. They can't help you. They'll check you and all that stuff, but they'll tell you there's not much they can do. Believe it or not emergency rooms are just for that. And your bad back isn't an emergency. Kind of messed up but it's the truth. You have to do physical therapy and go to a pain specialist more than likely.

The one crazy part of Shane's story was when Vince told Dean Douglas to cut a vicious and vulgar promo (like Shane usually does as in ECW) on his final WWF appearance. Did Vince realized that there are children in the audience or he didn't care?
@sampleoffers1978

It was like he was giving him fodder to return to ecw and "pipebomb" i:e, Steve Austin's Bischoff rants in ecw...but I don't think Douglas needed any help. Sometimes ghouls realize their own creativity failures but want to take credit for "spurring artists on," but really they're frustrated they can only work with very vapid tropes and doormats.

"And I said I would never work for [Vince] again and I never have." Not to be so particular about it, but this isn't entirely true. According to Shane himself, he was willing to go back to the WWF in 1999 with Benoit, Saturn, Malenko, and Guerrero but he says they all negotiated without him so he stayed in WCW. Plus, he did do at least one sit-down interview in recent years for some career retrospective (possibly a HOF induction video). So unless that was licensed footage, Shane has actually "worked" for Vince again since 1995.

We all know that Vince is the worst, so there's no reason to make up stories. We're supposed to believe that Dean Douglas' last night in the WWF was a house show at Madison Square Garden on Thanksgiving weekend in 1995, despite him appearing at the December 1995 In Your House PPV? On this MSG show, he was allowed to cut a profanity-laced promo into a television camera, even though this was a house show & wasn't televised? I think Shane's told this story so many times over the years, that even he believes it.
@roccoz2231

Exactly. Shane expects us to believe that Vince allowed him to cut a shoot-style promo at MSG during the pre-Attitude Era, which nobody backstage reacted to? The Gorilla position was mysteriously vacant, nobody in the dirt sheets/Internet reported on it, and Shane kept his job for another few weeks...? (To add context, The Curtain Call was reported almost immediately on the Internet and in the dirt sheets. Even in 1996, the IWC had a very strong presence.) Like you said, Shane has told this bs story so many times that he's come to believe it.
