Scotty Hall was ‘Da Bad Guy’. Scotty Levy got to Heyman about the Raven/Dreamer feud. Heyman loved it, and Scotty became a made man in ECW. Candido shot on Horowitz when Barry used Chris’s finisher without calling it. Paul Laveck and Dan Spivey were high profile shooters. They’d tag jobbers for real if they wouldn’t comply in the ring.

Pain registers differently. I'd rather take a full on punch than a full on slap. I hate stinging pain, but i am all good when it comes blunt force pain.

I used to staple myself back in high school for money and it was the same thing. And had to get em fairly quick because then the skin would grab on the prongs and make it worse.

You gotta think, as time went on, you got healthier practices. But go back to the early 90's people weren't as sanitary and tested as they were in the 2000's. Especially on the lower show and indy level.

It's interesting that Sabu finds a lot of the bloody matches unsanitary. There's a great video of his uncle the Sheik in the locker room at Comiskey Park where he was licking Bobby Heenan's blood after their match against Dick the Bruiser and Bobo Brazil.

I might be in the minority of wrestling fans, but I have no desire to see guys falling on thumbtacks or being hit with fluorescent lights. Seemed more like S&M than wrestling...and I was a Mick Foley fan....just not in death matches. Not my cup of blood, I suppose.

They are indeed real. I suppose they might be able to get away with some ratio stuff of doing 50/50 of real/fake but even in that case, they'd have to make sure that there are enough real tacks to be guaranteed to end up stuck in someone. Otherwise, the spot would be literally pointless.

I wonder if wrestling promotions these days require blood tests for people scripted to bleed in the ring? Always thought about the risk of HIV/hepatitis/etc. for participants when I've seen them bleeding all over each other.

The only thing about this game was the exploding barbed wire match. Once I seen the review videos I didn't give this video a second thought. I was excited for this game and I never played it but I felt sooo much disappointment when it came out. WWE 2k or Fire Pro Wrestling until a more worthy wrestling game comes out 🤷🏻‍♂️

I narrowly avoided stepping on a thumb tack on time. My foot barely made contact with it and l could still feel some pain from it. I can’t imagine getting a full thumb tack in the foot.
