Robert has seen it all in his career. Was half of one of the best tag teams in the business.

Thanks so much for doing one with just Robert. Look, I love me some Ricky Morton, but Robert can’t get a word in in those duo interviews. So great to get to hear Robert! 🙏🏼

This is AWESOME! I have never seen ANYONE interview Robert Gibson alone. It is cool to hear his stories alone. I have only heard stories about him or interviews where he is with Ricky, where he hardly talks haha

The spot calling is a modern phenomena. back in the territorial days, you worked close up in front of small to large crowds, every day. You learned to call them properly. modern wrestlers work at a distance, one or twice a week (maybe 3 times) and get sloppy. Half weren't trained properly and were not mentored on the road, by veterans.

Loved Robert's old school comment. They didn't say old school in his prime because they had respect....and you'd probably get stretched 🤣🤣 Love the interview

I actually remember pre R&R Robert Gibson. I first saw him on Saturday Morning TV, as a child, tagging with his brother Rick, in Memphis. One of the greatest tag team wrestlers of all time.

Sort of. Robert and Micheal are about the same age, and grew up together in Pensacola, along with John Tatum. They were all big fans, but Robert had the advantage of his older brother, who was in the business. When Robert was a teenager, he was part of the crew supporting the wrestlers, and he invited Micheal (and John) to tag along. But, Robert was trained mostly by his brother, in Pensacola. Whereas Micheal went to Mississippi to train when he decided to get serious. My father was a "job" guy in Memphis and Mississippi, and was there when Micheal (and Robert and John) came in.

Ive seen both at shows but only talked to Ricky. However, Robert seemed incredibly nice though - he greeted my mom and I as we walked into the gym and was genuinely friendly with everyone. Ricky Morton was literally the nicest wrestler I've ever met. I saw him at a different show (coincidentally both were solo at these particular shows). Ricky is such a great guy.
