I miss R&B. Its like once we find a place for Black Music and Black Artists, VH1 Soul, then the world seeks to keep it there. Maybe its a sign of the times, that love isnt what people care about. People are trying to escape from reality. Love is too real. its sad. I still love me some Jill Scott.

The musicianship today is severely lacking. I remember older days, where Grover Washington Jr. would just show up on a track, or other instrumentalists like him. It's not my place to say anything to anyone in R&B, because I left a long time ago, but I would suggest Jill listen to some Mandisa and Israel Houghton and find better producers. Today's music is overwhelmingly negative with very little light shining through.
