Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton, is an era that can never be replicated. He brought the fun and whimsical with Murakami and the edgy vibe with Sprouse. The menswear collection was also started by him.

Nicholas Ghesquiere he has done so many things to the bags that sometimes make them look awful. The quality has degraded significantly since Marc left as well.

Marc needs to be hired by Chanel, he would be perfect in that role, What he did at LV was genius, I think he is the only one who could really work with the Chanel codes and get it right

I love Marc's openness his process and how he gives oppportuities and credit to those he believes deserves them; but not remembering the name of the person who directed the Daisy perfume project (the nose), and not fixing it post-production is kinda wild.

It makes me think of what I heard about nobility in Ancient China: they would grow their nails really long to show that they didn't have to do manual labour.
