I'm kind of relieved this incoming Hurricane is not affecting them directly! I remember Ida being a horrible affect the nest and M with Harriet trying to rebuild right before E21 and E 22 were hatched. This was a huge stress on Harriet I'm sure. I wish there were in a less Hurricane prone area, but F 23 is young and a fighter for sure! Praying for a safe season!!

I started watching your videos at the beginning of season 10 when you were videoing E21 and E22. I fell in love with M15 and Harriet. I am still fascinated by your talent with the camera. Especially when you are following the Eagles in flight. TY, Vicky. I am excited about the beginning of season 12. Prayers for M15 and F23 that they will have a safe and productive season.

This is my ninth season watching these amazing birds. I (like so many others) still miss Harriet but M15 seems to have chosen a worthy new mate. Hi Vicki. So wonderful to see you at the nest visiting M15 and F23. It’s also so exciting too that they’re getting the twigs and limbs all ready to get the nest all set up for their new Eagle season that’s coming up soon.🥰❤️🦅🦅. However two things here, the first one is, those blowers are so darn annoying and we have them here too and they don’t work they just blow the dirt and leaves all over the place. It can be quite annoying. Second, when F23 is picking at M15, is she doing it out of dominance or is she doing it to show love to him? I think she is being a bit rough with him but I love how he does it back but in a more nicer way then how she does it. The nest sure does look awesome too but the tree itself definitely is looking a bit more sparse and I’m sure hoping the nest is still secure enough to stay up there too. Thanks again Vidki for your visits to the nest to visit M&LadyF and hope your week has been a good one and enjoy your weekend too if I don’t see another video before then too. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't ever remember Harriet nipping at M like that! Or Ozzie for that matter! Something or someone has ruffled her feathers because if you look at them while she's nipping at him they seem like they're all amiss!

@@judycoyne7818 this is a common behavior with female bald eagles. It has been seen on more than one eagle cam website. Yes, hormones play a role. The female is the dominant one of the pair and is simply trying to make sure the male will “be true” to her as she needs him to help protect and nourish her and eggs/eaglets.

@@pumpupjam9648 depending on the wind direction, the traffic can be louder. The area is patrolled by our Lee County Sheriff’s Department- in fact there was one parked in the median when I was there.
