When Lukas was 10 or 11 ,on Willie's B-day he asked his dad what he would like for his birthday Willie replied, 'Well I think it would be nice if you could play a song on the guitar" Lukas never played before Willie sat and taught him one of his songs He learned it in a few short hours and the rest is history! It is true You sound just like your dad. Beautiful! You do put your own spin on songs and it is fantastic. Another son of great country singer sounded just like his dad but lost it when he fell off a mountain and split his head open. He laid up on that mountain all night with his brain exposed to the elements until rescued in the morning. When he healed up, he no longer sounds like his famous daddy but now has a loud booming voice. That new voice has won him many awards and much love. Can anyone guess who it is??

That is not just any Sj-200. That is Bob Dylan's custom Gibson. Lukas got it during his time in Humboldt. Dylan gave to a friend who gave to his son Stacey. Stacey had the van he was sleeping in shot up and left the guitar and Humbolt behind. Gibson thought so much of this guitar made a 175 replicas of this guitar. At some point Lukas had Bob sign the guitar for him

I don't think it's fair to compare him to Willie. If Willie sounded this good, I'd have been a way bigger Willie fan. I am however a huge fan of Lukas. He's got the Nelson twang in his voice, but he adds a silky smoothness and buttery soft touch that Willie could only hope to sound like. Keep up the good work. I look forward to many years of greatness from Lukas.

Just like I have my dad's voice and accent and genetic traits, and yet I am a completely different person with my own personality and everything. I can hear the voice of Lukas sound more & more like his father as time passes. If you don't have a "good ear" you'll find yourself thinking Willie is singing when it's Lukas! He honors his father's music by singing HIS songs with & without Willie. Plus, Lukas has found his own style and music with P.O.R. He's written some beautiful heart felt songs & then "FUN" ones! He has his own identity & isn't known bc he's "Willie's son"! I'm sure he & all of the children have made Willie a proud "Pop". I've listened to Willie while my friends made fun of me for listening to country 🎵 I've loved his music since the 1st time I heard his voice & that was over 50 yrs ago.
