Jonathan, I appreciate the deep ICM analysis. I've been making final tables online and often find myself lost when it comes to ICM decisions

I watched this final table, some interesting spots later on in this FT, with some questionable allin and calls, really cool to see the ICMizier being used!

I knew ICM meant you try to play tighter if they are shallower stacks but I never knew it got this complicated involving the ranges of whole table. Thank you so much for the breakdown.

Maybe I missed the point, but at 8:45 when folded to the BB why take the risk against an open raise by UTG?

@ 25:00 AQ vs. KQ vs. JJ.. isnt oliver priced in?.. is that fold too nitty? or based on the action do you feel your are behind? chip preservation icm wise? it does close the action and you will see all 5 cards. i know you like the fold. losing drops him down to to about 15m still not a bad stack. plus martin's range has been pretty loose.. thx for the videO..

No, you are going to be super dominated against a call and jam.

These are the decisions one needs to make when at a final table. If you are a middle or shorter stack, merely avoiding borderline decisions for your tournament life makes a huge difference in your payout. If you are the big stack, you get to dictate all these hard decisions to the other stacks. Consider this practice on what to do on final tables. If you play too loose and splashy, it will be noticed by the other players and they will exploit you. Playing ICM makes it harder to exploit you. Nothing is perfect, but ICM is a method to reduce being exploited.

If you keep checking the icimiser or whatever reckon it will just distract you from pretty basic decisions ,like if you dont know the odds of certain hands then get your head down and study the shit
