I am exactly in your position, I don't drive and do not have a license. I own an Engwe Engine Pro and use it for commuting and especially for metal detecting. It has provided me more liberty when it comes to go metal detect. I get to the beaches and bring it with me and also use it on wet sand to travel faster from a spot to another. It also allows me to have a wider range of spots I can get to because when I used to do metal detect with a friend with a vehicle, there was always that problem where we have to find a place we are allowed to park... sometimes we had to walk a lot just to get somewhere. Ebikes and metal detecting is a really great combination! Enjoy your bike, man!

got my z20 plus the other week to take to Anglesey for a week, what a fantastic bike it is (unlocked) got me some place's i could never walk to now, a tip going around for these bikes is to take the platstic spacers off the brake calapers so the all the pad is used when braking did it on mine after 20 miles you could see only half wear 80miles now brakes alot better. great vid

Hi, great review. I have the Z20, 2023 model, with the factory fitted throttle. I stopped using the bike shortly after buying it in fear of breaking the law and having it confiscated 😮 After watching your video, I am considering removing the throttle.

Great review Arron looks great and I’m sure that people will be maxing out on the speed I was driving my car and had one overtake me the other month and I was doing 60 mph so they must have been doing near on 70 mph crazy barstools 😂

Fields and private land will be fine but the problem you'll encounter is insurance, if it is stolen or in an accident with that throttle installed, even if its deactivated will void your insurance

Most people don't have insurance. Waste of money in my experience as they always find excuses not to pay as you already highlighted.

The problem with this ebike is i'm not sure if it is legal even without the throttle installed. I would have liked to have seen the label showing how much power it has because if it is one of those stick on labels then it's not going to be accepted by police if you are stopped by them. I saw on e-vrc channel that the label was not compliant with UK law. That means it is an illegal ebike which can't be ridden on UK roads under any circumstances.

Hi Aaron , can you tell me what PSI is best for tyres please, mine came somewhat deflated , i have set them o 15 PSi , but others have said to get them to 70PSI

I’ve kept mine low so I get a good soft ride, not too low but not solid.

70 psi is way too high for this. That is for thinner tyres. 20 psi is the norm for fat tyre ebikes like this.

You didn't mention if you have to pay VAT when you bring these into the UK and the company avoided answering the question when i asked them. This does not look good.

Nearly everyone I see riding a fat tyre ebike in London uses the throttle. As long as you don't ride it like a lunatic police don't care right now, so I wouldn't worry.
