Thanks for the video sir. Keep doing this great work. I have some doubts. 1) Do Valence band maximum (VBM) and Conduction band minimum (CBM) always have to fall on high symmetry points or not? Because in your second example the CBM is not on a high symmetry point but somewhere between gamma point and M-point. Is there any special cause for that?

Welcome! In most of the cases you may find VBM and CBM at the gamma point. But it is not always.
