When I saw some of her press conferences before the French Open, I found her to have a very refreshing personality. She is honest, pleasant, and very likable. She does not have a huge ego which is endearing. She is my favorite player.

Unfortunately, the ranking is frozen by the restrictions of the freaky virus, if the ranking was refreshed after winning the tournament, there would be a good chance for Iga to place in the top 5.

Tenis jest jedną z najtrudniejszych dyscyplin sportowych, podziwiam Igę za jej osiągnięcia. Cieszę się widząc naturalną miłą dziewczynę i słysząc jej stonowane, rozsądne wypowiedzi. I counted and if the ranking were not "frozen", Iga would be in the top five. This is the fact. It's sad and unfair for the players who have performed better this season and the ranking is less favorable for them. WTA, stop making excuses for a pandemic and restore fair ranking!

I completely agree with you. The Covid rules have completely skewed the rankings. Iga should definitely be higher. Others who should be higher are Sabalenka, Brady, Muguruza, Muchova, Sakkari and others. There are many players who are ranked too high; Halep, Kenin, Svitolina, Andreescu, Konta, Martic and others. I think Osaka is the best player at this time with a fairly large group in the next tier. Iga is rising fast and if she can develop her serve into a consistent weapon, she will compete with anyone.

These days WTA rankings means nothing anyhow, even before COVID. Every Grand Slam, there is only one player in the top 10 remaining in the final. Everyone has been beaten. Hopefully Iga bring women tennis back to where it used to be, where everyone actually played tennis besides hitting ACES and ball bashing from the baseline, with all those unforce errors. Congratulations Iga!!!!!
