What is the most impressive about Iga is how clutch she gets at most important points of the match. Whole 1st set was close and I'd say Halep was even a little bit better, but Iga played the most important points better and she ended up winning that set.

She was playing not aggressive enough like she would not want to hurt her opponent or hurt herself. Now she is aggressive and she fights harder. Hope she keeps developing and confirms all the talent she showed.

Wolałbym w odniesieniu do Igi użyć pojęcia, że jest w gronie najlepszych zawodniczek w tym czasie, w tourze. Co nie oznacza, że nie może być najlepsza, biorąc np. za wskaźnik bycie numerem 1 rankingu. Jest na dobrej ku temu drodze. Jest to trudne zadanie, ale jak to powiedział jej były trener, Sierzputowski, jeszcze trudniej utrzymać się na szczycie zestawienia. Ja bardzo lubię grę Igi, zwłaszcza kiedy w tym sezonie tak agresywnie poczyna sobie na korcie i nie traci pewności siebie, co uwidaczniało się w poprzednim sezonie jej dużymi wahaniami nastroju. Mecz z Sakkari będzie mega trudny, patrząc jak obecnie gra Greczynka i jak odprawiła Hiszpankę w półfinale. Ale wierzę, że trener przygotuje dobry plan na ten mecz. A reszta będzie w rękach Igi. Jazda, Iga, jazda!!!

Halep had been playing very well in this tournament, so I figured this would be very close. I was wondering if Iga would have the discipline to fight through a tough challenge, and she certainly did. These are the kind of hard-fought matches champions win. That first set tiebreaker comeback (from 3 - 5 and 4 - 6!) was pretty amazing. Great confidence boost for Iga!

This match did not disappoint . Very entertaining and engaging from both players. Halep played well, but Swiatek was better in the key points of the match. Wich is impresive cuz Halep had a good game plan ...if she had been a little bit calmer in the tie break maybe we would have had a different match. ..Halep kept fighting well, but Iga kept her composure very well. I think the match would have gone the distance if Halep hadn't gotten injured. Swiatek played well on the most important points of the match, especially in the 1st set tiebreaker, but otherwise looked a bit flat, particularly on her serve.

It was an exciting match and a really good play by both. Iga Świątek played better in the key moments (vide tiebreak) and deservedly won. Her weak side was service: 58,1 % of “first serve in” is not a great result. She will face now M. Sakkari in the match for … the 2nd spot in the WTA ranking (just after A. Barty); whoever wins will take that place, the loser will be 3rd! In the previous tournament in the game against Maria (semis in Doha) Świątek served at 75,8 % rate and won. She needs to be that effective again to win this final. Have a good luck Iga!

Iga Swiatek is such a smart ,young lady.She is only 20 years old and already has 4 super wins with very important tournaments,French Open,Italian Open,Qatar OPen and Brisbane Open.She is strong as a bull and can play for 3-4 hours,she is fast like German Porche,or Italian Ferrarri,or Maserati,or British Aston Martin,She can dance ,she can flirt and also she is beautiful like an Italian movie star ,Sophia Loren.She will dominate a women,s tennis for the next 12-16 years and will beat all present records.A real talent plus a very hard working young lady.Congratulations,Iga.Fans from Indiana,USA.
