Hey WTA editors. This is such a strange tactic you are using, always showing only the winners of Kasatkina's opponent. Don't you realize that we like Kasatkina. Check your stats. Leylah's last two service games were probably the worse I've ever seen in a WTA final, pretty sure she didn't win a point. Too bad because she can play with anyone but that serve unless greatly improved will always leave her outside of the top 10.

Congrats Dasha!! You finally broke the runner-up curse 💚 …as for the WTA, your highlights are terrible. You show at least 2/3 Leylah hitting winners but when I look at the score, Daria is ahead. She basically led the entire match and won cleanly in two sets, but you rarely show her winning points. Also, when she immediately goes and hugs Natasha, announcer lamely says “her team” rather than her girlfriend, brother, and coach. Report what happens, don’t be vague and misleading. The WTA has great players but it is a terribly run organization that needs to clean house at the top. For way more reasons than I can go into here.

I've watched her two finals' matches this year and felt she had the game to win but couldn't quite get over the finish line due to how dialed in her opponents were throughout those tournaments (Adelaide/Ostapenko & Abu Dhabi/Rybakina). I hoped, that this year WTA/ATP/ITF, would stop this nonsense of mixing sport with politics. Every player should have right to play under her/his country's flag. One cannot choose the country of one's birth. Appointing "flag police" at tennis tournaments is not even childish... it is embarrassing and insane... Wars are run by politicians not sportsmen/sportswomen. Why during the invasion of Iraq, 20 year bombing of Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen and Pakistan not to mention the genocidal Vietnam war US, Australian, UK... athletes were allowed to compete under their national flag? USA invaded Iraq in 2003 and yet their flag was still allowed at the World Cup 2006 in Germany and 2010 in South Africa despite the fact they were still in Iraq. Either ban ALL flags of countries who go to war, or don't ban any of them. Interestingly enough Israeli tennis players Mika Buchnik and Guy Sasson are allowed to play under the national flag in AO 2024 despite the policy of their government towards Palestinians in Gaza. *** All wars are equal, but some wars are more equal than others.

In fact, it was really a heartwarming final appearance which was played between Fernandez and Kasatkina. Even though Leylah contended more valiant and steadfast as of the second set, Daria Kasatkina has explicitly protected her nonchalance and serenity, dictating the points with her resilience and efficiency. It was the most crucial portion of this clash in order to lead the rallies. Even so, I want to appreciate the efforts, perseverance and tenacity of the professional Canadian tennis competitor. She needs more time and opportunities to reach the highest scale. She will be more resilient and efficient with the time. It was commonly a scintillating tourney for Leylah Fernandez.

Both players are very likeable. Glad for Daria, sad for Leylah.

Happy to see Fernandez in a final again!!! I just love her technique so much, she looks like Nadal a little bit with the way she covers the court and moves her racquet around the ball. Really talented, liked her from the start and hopefully this means she’s really back on form😉

if Leylah is making it to the Final's she is doing something right a lot of great players end up in the Final and have to settle for second look at Saba how many times she has come up second. Leylah has had a great couple weeks and moves up in the Rankings she is already seeded 30?? 3 titles a BJKCUP , Seeing Leylah play and improve each and every Game , Match is what you want. She is making more fans each and every single day. She has a great Career ahead of her and anyone who follows her and admirers her for her Attitude and play on and off the court no need to worry she will do just Fine.

The video report is so biased and one-sided that it’s disgusting to watch. If they didn’t show the score of the match, it would seem that Fernandez, who lost both sets, dominated throughout the match.

And to WTA editors: please ask the commentators to take a moment and learn the proper way the name Kasatkina should be pronounced, Exactly how it's written NOT Kazakina

Well done Dasha! I support every Russian players on every field. Period! You’re all better than your crappy personality neighbour players who doesn’t even have a slight dot of sportsmanship on them to play on the international events.
