Taken from Barack Obama's inauguration coverage, plus a special edition of ABC World News on the big day, all on WTEN (channel 10) in Albany, New York. WTEN did not air its 5-6:30 news block due to the inauguration coverage that day.
WTEN would add a 4pm newscast in 2009, becoming the first 518 station to do so. Lydia Kulbida, then laid off from WNYT, was tapped to anchor the newscast. WTEN also was coming off a change in news direction, and Rene LaSpina left that year after 5 years as general manager.
