I have recently been binging on Malayalam movies and must say, they are a class apart! Each better than the first, I'm just awed by the stories they think of and then you have the actors, who just nail it with their performances, Mamoothy is a revelation, Hollywood has seen nothing, the world needs to be exposed to Malayalam movies, they would have to just give all the Oscars and what have you to them!! Simply brilliant is Brahmayugam and all the three actors in it!! Hats off!! 👏👏👏 🙌

Just saw the movie.Felt goosebumps,It was like getting transported to 17th century. The sound effects and storytelling was soo good,it makes us think about folklores and historical sorcerer's during that timeline. The twists and atmosphere and Arjun Ashokan's and Siddharth's mind games and their life story, hardships gave us a lot to think about in the movie.Even the real "devil"s appearance and the ending gave me chills. When mammmotty says "this is bramayugam - age of madness" made me think a lot about that timeline of people.(were they scared, angry or crazy when entities like goblins and blood sucking ghosts and masked entities existed?) It truly makes us wonder about the dark age of 17th century.

I was at aww from the beginning, what a cinematography, direction and most importantly the Art department ask for a big salute, on how they built up the mansion. No words on acting from the legend, Arjun Ashokan and Sidharth gave a life time best performance, shading out even Mammokka at some points I would say. A must watch-big screen movie.

Well one problem with Regional cinema, IMO, is that we don't get many of them for Hindi audiences (I haven't watched GGVV because it is not dubbed in Hindi, but I am too desperate to watch it)... We only get masala and commercial stuff (Charlie 777 is an exception).. otherwise there are many South movies, I feel, that need more recognition like Maveeran, Hi Nanna, Sapata Parambarai.. P.S. I request everyone to watch Maveeran.. it is an over the top entertaining movie yet not cringey.. you can draw parallels with Mard ko dard nahi hota..

It is not surprising to see Mammootty doing these kinds of roles. From the beginning of the career, his choices of movies have been different than the others. His ability to catch the slangs and excel in them, his choices at this age shows how he is enjoying cinema. The best part about Mammootty is the ease with which any new director or story teller can access him without any middlemen. This is also one of the reasons why Mohanlal is losing out on good roles.
