Yes, a vital skill if you want ot play in higher skill levels as many strong spots or rotates require a strafe jump. as a example: Jumping from van to apartments on b mirage or cache, jumping from middle to boost.

@Dėdė Čerdachas thank you, Dėdė! That's such a tough question. I would have to say my csgo surf_sodium might take the number 1 spot because it was the first level design I was ever commissioned to make. I've dreamed of making a living from my own art since I was 14. Still working hard to make that happen, but that was the moment that made me feel it was actually possible.

Same applies to Bunny hopping / bhop in cs u never wanna bhop with w , you always use A or D and move your camera in the respective order , best way to do it is move your camera in a infinity shaped loop and pressing A or D when you look in the respective direction, but it also requieres crouch and space, but it's a lot of fun :D

You can surf with W & S but you're doing it essentially blind learning the maps paths and timings, with S key you can see a little but W key surfing you're essentially looking directly into the ramps & using S to counter strafe in air If you learn how to do standard A & D surfing and can master W & S surfing your movement on competitive matches is definitely enhanced being able to make easy jumps and transitions.

Moving your mouse towards the ramp gives you more height and away gives you more speed. On curved ramps you wana tap a or d into it to attach to it and then hold the movement key for the direction it curves. For example on a ramp that curves right, you tap a to board the ramp and then hold d to stay on it. You should always try to land at the top of a ramp so you gain more speed while sliding down, faster you flick at the end, the more height you get at the cost of speed
