I remember getting my mind blown by this video back in 2011, when the only gaming I could do was on a Nintendo Wii... One of the main reasons I built my first little gaming PC was so I could get my hands on Hard Reset, and seven years later and I finally have my dream rig. Thank you for all the good times, TB. You changed my life, and probably a lot of others too. We miss you.

@sumoslamer180 Makes a hell of a lot of sense: "They want only two guns? We'll give them ten guns in two. With alternate fire modes for each. Hell yes." Hell, the guns even look sufficiently interesting when they've changed from one thing to another. Granted, you can't really tell with the plasma one, but the one that starts as a rifle really changes around a lot, and looks very cool to see.

Nice preview : ) Just got yourself a new subscriber! As for the game itself, with so many other high profile titles right around the corner, when testing this demo, I couldn't help but feel like I wanted more out of it. It's beautiful to look at, and it actually has a nostalgic fun factor to it that harken back to the days of Doom. Those were its redeeming qualities for me, personally. Other than that, the story seems largely unremarkable; which makes it no more than a reason to shoot stuff.

@TheSchug The FOV is the angle you see, so with a FOV of 90, you can see a 90 degree angle. It was just a simple guess since 90 degrees is pretty much a common industry standard for first person perspective games and you can estimate the angle you see, I'd say it's somewhere around 90 as well and it's most likely they just went with the common standard.

I remember in one level of Final Doom, there was a megasphere sitting on top of a box, and the only way to reach it is by leading an Arch-Ville outside, and using its attack to jump up and get the megasphere. Brilliantly hidden.

This game looks gorgeous, specially the later levels and is a lot of fun. Just make sure you buy Hard Reset Extended edition that has more content and a longer campaign. It was in the humble bundle a few weeks ago but can be bought very cheap on amazon

It looks like the Upgrade system is Load based. (currently @ 18:25, so if this was established and disproved I apologize) Looking at the buttons, unless it locks you in post upgrades, you may be able to swap things around. Maybe the upgrade you got unlocked different options and the points can be dropped and shuffled at will.

The gun configuration is named on the left of the health. It says if its youre using the shotgun, grenade, blaster, mortar, etc.

The two weapon design is probably for the aesthetic semi-realism aspect. That is, they wanted to avoid having a character being able to hold 10 different guns (a la Duke Nukem 3D, Quake, etc.) as it makes no sense unless they materialize the gun from pocket space, yet still have more than just two at a time like most current shooters. They could probably make the gun modes more distinct by different colors or something though.

@J0eyBe Yeah cold heart...I can't say for BFE, looks great though. Deus Ex HR is the most fun I've had in a very long time, but the only reason that game isn't consolized (which the cities could've been bigger) is the fact that they subbed it to Nixxes to port it for PC. I fell in love with the art direction so I can't complain about it, it was the most refreshing game I've ever played in years; pretty much since Crysis.

@xbox360player88 Actually the Deus Ex one was a Hyper WTF video which are meant to be longer, I think it used to say Hyper in the title but he changed it when he put in "spoiler free". Only saying this because the image tag is the same as the one of Terraria which is a Hyper as well. I can understand if you don't have enough time, but some people do and they use his comments on if they might be interested it buying it and a simple "I like it" might not be enough for them.
