This and binding of isaac were and are my only two favorite roguelikes/lites. Simply because I could negate all randomness through my mastery of the mechanics. Lot's of randomization based games are completely soulless because they strip the player of any ability by forcing a numbers game like it's a glorified clicker.

@@Aukashay TotalBiscuit had turned off the comments back in 2014 due to Google+ integration issues he wasn't happy with, and so discussion was moved to his subreddit instead. After his passing in April of 2018 his wife turned the comments back on.
