My favorite Jordan 1 Chicago has to be the last retro release from 2015. Back in 2019 I had a bad accident at work that left me disabled for the rest of my life. When my birthday came around in 2020 my wife got me a pair of Jordan 4 toros but unfortunately due to my accident and having nerve damage I couldn’t wear them. An the only shoes I could find comfort in with out hurting more than usual were Jordan 1s ( due to the sole being flat and it not being a heavy shoe) I had always wanted the Chicago 1s but at this time they were going for around $990. ( in my size 12 before the last dance) And with me being supper bummed about not being able to wear my toros, my wife surprised me and bought me the Chicago 1 from 2015! I will forever be grateful for that shoe as it reminds me of how supportive my wife has been, it will always be my favorite and it’ll never leave me!

No disrespect Qias but the trophy room drop was a joke, everyone knows companies can put a random search on employees before leaving their premises with full CCTV watching if they want to. Exxonmobil does this in the UK. 200 plus pair's only dropped on the SNKRS app as well goes to show there lack of availability and that the rumours are true that most pairs were backdoored. I won't be getting hyped up for another trophy room release after what happened as I don't want to be disappointed not just by not copping but by them allowing to ruin the community. I know you have to give love to Marcus after all he did hook you up and I understand marketing the brand by offering influencer's early pair's but 500 pairs to 1000 for friends, family and influencer's which still leaves 11000 for the public. How was less Dior Jordan 1 pair's released without the resellers spanking the drop? Trophy room are liable for the poor drop with the full mail box, low SNKRS app numbers and the backdoor pair's. I don't think it will be forgotten and the sneaker has a great backstory but it also has a story the discourages their fans. Keep up the videos. It has to be OG Chicago's as they helped Jordan establish the brand that is timeless still in 2021 and many years to come.

Qias people are not upset because it's MJs son. People are upset because the shoe was not released to the public fairly. Everybody knows that every shoe release gets backdoored, it's the fact that 90% of stock was backdoored. Nike SNKRs app only had 230 pairs which were only given via exclusive access. The trophy room was given all stock and they would decide how to release it. They did a 'raffle' which no one won. You had a higher chance of getting the door Jordan 1s than the trophy room 1s. Now people who want the shoe are forced to go by the secondary market all because the whole stock was backdoored.

Here’s the problem - marketing and seeding make sense. It makes perfect sense for brands to hook up celebrities/influencers with product to spread the word and therefore make the brand more money/gain popularity. What doesn’t make sense is to have 0 pairs available to normal people and only give celebrities, influencers and resellers pairs. Everyone knows what happened at this point and it’s time to move on. Marcus Jordan and Trophy Room showed their true colors and that’s it. Glad that you, and the others that deserved a pair, got them. Dope shoe, just a shame how the release went down.

The reason this left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth is because he is only getting away with this because of who his father is! Yes back dooring is a part of the game but it’s never been so blatantly done by a retailer (Trophy Room) before. Also this was there own collaboration. He asked his dad to make him an exclusive shoe so he could manipulate the retail system. They sold 95% of there product above “retail “ before the release date, ripped all suggested retail labels off the boxes and had a b.s. raffle to hide available stock numbers on release day! What Marcus team has done is illegal and he better hope he doesn’t have the IRS come after him for tax evasion.
