Especially when you get those rare moments, it’s like the world suddenly goes into slow motion, where the reviewer goes to take a drink and it’s at that exact moment the singer starts growling. Those are rare but highly entertaining.

The build up to it is the best part. They are lulled into thinking its calming, then Tati.

Yes...this music arrangement is like calm underwater vibe, then switches up like a shark attack. Great song.

Tatiana can sing anything,,, and the growls are a real skill and actual fits the mood of the song, I'd suggest you watch them perform "perennial" live at wacken and also "who is gonna be the one" live Tatiana rules the stage ,her talent and charisma will win you over

Those vocals just sound like bad comedy.. not scary not tough .. I can’t take any metal seriously when any singer does this ... Marvin Gaye singing with passion is far more effective then these cartoonish vocals

@@e.m.b2834 I find it more annoying when pop singer go up and down with their voices like their genitals are being forced into a vice.

Tatiana has learned how to use her "false fold" vestibular folds which actually do no damage to her vocal chords - it can most aptly be described as being like a burp. The true vocal chords open up allowing the air through and then the "false" folds vibrate creating the sound. With this, you can better understand how she can "switch" so easily between the voices - clean and growl/scream. Jinjer the band are talented beyond all belief and Tatiana still steals the show. Perennial live at Whacken shows her doing it live to amazing music.

Here we see the KZbin reactor in their natural environment hearing Pisces for the first time. The emotional stages of hearing the switch for the first time are usually represented as follows: Startled, shocked, surprise and then doubt. At this point the reactor reverts back to alternating modes of shock and doubt before stopping the video to absorb the wonders of Tatiana's vocals, still bewildered and confused, but absorbing the amazing feat they just witnessed. Laughter generally is the only expression the reactor is capable of at this point, their reality shattered as acceptance takes hold ......

I saw her performance on "the voice" to say impressed..- that's an understatement!! ))) but after watching this video ...I would tear off the sound engineer's hands!!! the voice merges with the guitar riff.. the vocals are not brought out at all!!

I lived in Germany for three years. My father was stationed at Spangdahlum Airforce base. Love the waffle cookies, Yeager Snitzel (I know I spelled that one wrong), and Kinder Eggs. The chocolate ice cream taste like coffee and there is a place you can get spaghetti ice cream. There’s also the Castle of Mice where there are dozens of tunnels and secret passages to explore in pitch black darkness. There’s are the burning castle that has a wonderful fire works display to mark the burning of it. There’s also the castle with the water works, the king was so fascinated with that he even installed them in the seats of the dining room guests. There’s more but those were on the top of my head. If you get the chance, you should check them out.

And don't forget "Judgement/Punishment" the live vocal one take version where Tatiana is recording her vocals in the studio. The official video for this song is great, but it doesn't do Tatiana's voice justice like the the other video does

No warning = pure reaction. This video is the reason I started watching reaction videos in the first place. And your reaction is the reason I keep watching them. Don't write off metal, it can be intimidating, particularly because there is a lot of stigma around metal, but it is legitimately some of the deepest music, and most thought out music there is.

🔥Welcome to Jinjer! I just found your channel, great reaction Sarah, subbed! Thank you for bringing the fantastic genre twisting music of Jinjer to more people! I love their energy, how tight they are, how down to earth they are, the heaviness mixed with complexity and groove, beautiful singing and beautiful growling and especially Tatiana's lyrics! The first time I heard Pisces last year I hadn't liked any metal with growling and it took me a few listens to start liking it, but now Tatiana is my favorite vocalist and Jinjer my favorite band (Pisces has been my wakeup alarm for the past year or so and I still love it more every time I hear it). TLDR: skip to the last paragraph 😂 Sorry for the very long comment, I just love Jinjer too much and love seeing people discover (and usually fall in love with) them and each of their songs! My three favorite comments about Jinjer that I've seen, "terrifying levels of talent", "I hate it when a Jinjer song ends", and "that was more unexpected than my first child" 🤣 I love the story of Tatiana getting interested in learning to growl. In her own words, "I was inspired by Otep (Shamaya). When I was 15, my friend showed me a record of House of Secrets. I was like, ‘That dude - his voice is so powerful. And he said, ‘Oh come on Tatiana, that’s actually a woman!’ I was like, ‘What?’ She blew my mind. That was the time, the moment when I realized I wanted to shock people just like her. I just had the feeling or the intuition, like an extra sense that this is what I’m made to do.” The four current members have essentially no musical training except for Vlad the drummer who studied classical piano. They've been a tour heavy band, on the road almost nonstop from 2013 to 2020, hard work that has made them fantastic live and they make it look effortless. For most of their songs, the three guys write most of the instrument music, then Tatiana writes most of the lyrics and melodies (she gets tons of well deserved credit for her vocal and stage performance abilities, but maybe not quite enough for her lyrical and musical composition abilities). Roman the guitarist has written a lot of the instrument music in the past, so he's a huge part of the beautiful sound of Jinjer, but Vlad the drummer (who also plays guitar and piano, but so far not in most Jinjer songs - I think he played piano in lainnereP) has been writing more of it and wrote nine of the eleven songs for the newest album Wallflowers, first four videos are out for Vortex, Mediator, Wallflower and Disclosure! Eugene composes some - he wrote the instrument music for one song on Wallflowers and a few songs on other albums, and I know that apart from his amazing work on the bass, he adds riffs and has written lyrics for a few Jinjer songs. The band (all members have been Ukrainian, with Russian their first language) started in eastern Ukraine in 2009 as a group of three (then five) with none of the current members (they consider the official start of the band when Tatiana replaced the male vocalist and Roman joined as lead guitar 2009/2010), Vlad is the fifth drummer (joined in 2016) and it's been a group of four since 2015 (though they consider their road sound engineer Sasha to be a fifth member). I think they're still friends with all the former members and you can see former Jinjer guitarist turned actor, Dmitry Oksen, on guitar in older Jinjer videos, and acting as an interrogator in their latest video, Disclosure! One of the things I love most about Jinjer is the messages in Tatiana's lyrics and the way she combines her beautiful growling and beautiful singing with Jinjer's fantastic instrumentals to be so powerful for expressing the anger and pain in those messages: the anti-war message in Home Back, the anti-greed in On The Top, Mediator and No Hoard Of Value (also the horror of the coal mining industry in their home Ukraine), the protest song Who Is Gonna Be The One, the anti-fascism of Sit Stay Roll Over, the anger at people being narrow minded in Teacher Teacher and Judgment & Punishment, the struggles with mental health in Pit Of Consciousness, Vortex, Wallflower and Perennial, the giving voice to mother nature angry at humanity for letting capitalism destroy her in a bunch of songs like Ape, The Prophecy, Cloud Factory, Noah, Outlander, Dip A Sail and Bad Water. Other favorites are I Speak Astronomy, Retrospection, Words of Wisdom, Just Another, Captain Clock, Scissors, Exposed As A Liar, I Want It I'll Get It, A Plus Or A Minus, When Two Empires Collide, lainnereP, Prologue and Beggar's Dance (those last two are short album bookends that might do well together in one reaction). I haven't found a Jinjer song I don't love, so I think you can't go wrong if you choose any of them, but a few good choices might be Perennial (official and/or live at Wacken, both are must-see), Teacher Teacher (official), Judgement & Punishment (official and/or Tatiana's one take performance, again both must-see), Pit of Consciousness (official and/or live in Kiev/Kyiv, a third where both are absolutely must-see) or the heartwrenching plea against war in Home Back (official video). Note that because Jinjer has so many great official videos and so many astounding live performance videos, no Jinjer fan will ever mind if you react to a second video for a Jinjer song you've already heard, so whichever songs you choose, whatever pace you like: hope you'll keep trying more Jinjer and enjoy! ❤🖤🤘

Good reaction! It helps if you know that "Pisces" is the astrological sign of opposites (symbol is two fish swimming in opposite directions). The two styles of vocal represent the submissive form and the raging, angry form. If you read the lyrics, it's quite harrowing. I'd be angry, too. The vocalist (Tatiana) has a good range of clean vocal styles and a bunch of extreme vocal capabilities. The rest of the band is very skilful too. I think you should react to "Wallflower" next - others will tell you to watch "Perennial live at Wacken" which is excellent and shows what they can do live. However, "Wallflower" is perfect. It has a beautiful, arty video and a deeply personal message about isolation. Well worth reading the lyrics before reacting. It's a very moving song. Subscribed.

She uses the ventricular folds (false vocal chords) for the growls and screams - she is not hurting her voice, if she was, she wouldn't be able to switch so fast and cleanly between clean and growl. Back and forth on a dime. Wow.

What was that, you say? It's guttural voice, very used in some metal sub genres of rock music. We the rockers who like metal, love that kind of voice. It takes a proper technique to do that without harming the throat. If you loved it, listen to some other metal bands like Arch Enemy, Cripper, and Blind Ivy. All with female vocals. And others with male vocals like Hatebreed, which is my favorite metalcore band.

Something noteworthy that every reactor has missed so far that I've seen. Tatiana's choice of wardrobe reflects the duality of the typical Pisces personality. " Black and White ",.. they can change from bright and sunny to the darkest blackness that exists,.. in less than a second. This is not actually a true dual personality though,.. it's really just a single yet extreme personality. Tatiana is also a self proclaimed introvert.
