Dang Rollins is so unapologetically human and down to earth, when I think of cool I think of him honestly

In terms of his work ethic, Henry Rollins reminds me a lot of Frank Zappa with different motivations.

I've never thought about it like that, but you're right.

I was thinking that the Grateful Dead and Frank Zappa very well could be the greatest American rock and roll AND swing bands EVER! Because of their mastery of jazz improvisation within the deep roots of American blues, country and Rock and Roll!! Listening to their random seguesynchronicity back and forth creating the most creative improvisational refreshing music...

Henry Rollins is one of the most interesting people on earth to learn from. Get in the van audiobook is available free on KZbin as are almost all of his spoken work specials. Listen to his first appearance on Joe Rogan. Get on in peeps, you’ll be better for it

I love Henry, he is so on the level. I wish he was my dad. Henry, I am in Illinois and 35, if you see this, could you adopt me? I guarantee that you would not be disappointed.

Hell yeah!! The Grateful Dead are amazing to me and I'm far from being a stoner deadhead myself... They and Frank Zappa playing their refreshingly improvisational ROOTS AND ROLL infused with jazz is AS GOOD AS AMERICAN MUSIC GETS 🎶🌌🙌 It was great to hear you point out how great they were and STILL ARE! Because music will never be what it was and the only way for it too stay fresh and deep is if people really understand the roots...

Published his own* books, doesn't reunite and Play The Hits...except that one short tour doing a benefit for West Memphis Three. ...happened to grow up in Washington, D.C. and came of age in harDCore in the Dischord Records punk scene; didn't stay a Minor Threat groupie and started at zero with Black Flag. Acted in films, defined spoken word and did lots of work for USO. An example of American Dream and work ethic.

Similar energies still exist, i lived in a house with a basement in Flagstaff, AZ and fuck that place wasss fun 100's of high energy kids coming through and playing down there and the house down the street. also the high energy punk scenes in phoenix AZ in abandon industrial tin buildings and storage units where GAYKISS and early SEX PRISONER, MAGNUM FORCE would play with touring bands is just some of the most epic shit ive ever seen. 2010 -2011ish
