MM is amazed that Hemingway had to type everything on paper with a machine. Go visit Mark Twain museum (in Hannibal, MO? NYstate? can't remember). He had to write everything out with a pen. Late in life, his writing hand was useless after trying to churn out work for money. After he went broke.

I came out one day and there was a bullet hole in the center of my hood...in this case I think it was a message...WTF...I was the white thumb of the neighborhood, whatever I kept parking on the street in the same spot: one day i found the bullet slug and the casing on the road, I still have them Thanks Marc!

@@brianjohnson4929 Tropic thunder is hilarious but it hasn't aged all that well... LISTEN BRIAN, I get the feeling that you like comedy movies so here's some you should watch: Superbad, Lolita (Stanley Kubrick), Fargo, Borat, Bad Trip, Dr. Strangelove, Brazil & Bad Santa.

Bill Hicks was NOT a martyr, Bill died young of a terminal disease! A myth yes; Bill Hicks will live forever in the hearts of all sincere and true comedians.

If one throws out out all their devils , you'll end up drinking coffee and eating donuts at A.A. the rest of your miserable life. STOP using the 'I Am' statements i.e. I Am a loser, a alcoholic, a drug addict or whatever, you are not your disease!

Marc Maron never fails to get the worst out of guests. Brand has sounds so self-absorbed and obsessed and like a cliche former rockstar turned to spirituality reflecting on his unruly past. Brand is so much more generous and insightful than this, but he is dragged into this boring, egotistical conversation about personal vices and formative childhood experiences by Maron.
@jefolson69892 жыл бұрын
Never thought about that. Maron is part Babara Walter's, part Dick Cavett, and part an original creation. He has improved. Joe Rogan is the once who brings out the worst. I think . He never let's them talk, so I don't know for sure!
