Hi from Greece. I own a Nissan Rogue ( xtrail in Europe) and this light turns on several times. This light means that the automatic brake control is temporary not working because the radar is blinded for example by fog or by blinding lights, heavy rain etc. Nothing worrying has happened to me till now, although I drive under difficult conditions really often. Maybe they should upgrade the software

I’m leasing a Nissan Rogue, under 6,000 miles. My Rogue flashed and beeped emergency front collision lights while automatically hard breaking a week ago. Tonight, it just happened again while driving 40mph in my town with no cars in front or in back of me. While Googling- I came across this video. Taking it in to be inspected tomorrow.

So when this happened to me this was with a 2020 Nissan Sentra and it happened quite a bit at different places but some places in particular so I just tried to slow down when I approached those places but I had other instances where there'd be in the middle of a straightaway road where there'd be no reason that I would have to stop but for some reason it would stop right I don't have an answer for that there's no way to predict when it's going to be stupid unfortunately Well since I apparently like to gamble with my life I decided to buy another center of a year 2024 and I haven't seen the light come on yet in the first 10,000 miles but now it has so I'm just going to have to be a defensive driver more than I would ever be because you don't know how your car is going to react let alone anyone else

Beside this the safety features and warnings are fantastic though They warn you about things coming around corners or when you're pulling out of a parking spot even when you can't see it somehow the car miraculously knows something's coming That has protected me many times in busy shopping parking lots where old people normally won't get out of your way drive like psychopaths when they're in a parking lot

I just brought 2020 Nissan rogue and have the same problem, I looked at the video to turn it off, yes it worked no noise when backing out of driveway, however, you have to turn it off each time you start your car. Doesn't stay on off. The noise is loud and very disturbing when leaving early in the morning. Feel like i'm waking up the neighbors.

I'm having this problem now. I took the car to Nissan, they charged me to do diagnostic test on it, they called me and stated that my brake fluids are low to do to my back brakes need to be replace. Replaced the fluid and repaired the brakes on Monday, received car on Tuesday, guess what this brake warning malfunction light is back on on Wednesday. Return car to Nissan shop, they tell me that they have to do another diagnostic test on it and that's going to cost me another $180.

You should be able to disable this feature in driving assists under settings. The car will still drive it just won't stop automatically. If you know it's a problem, shut it off till you get to the dealer. Do the same if it shows any type of sensor malfunction.

That's obvious, but it turns on automatically EVERY TIME you turn the car off and on again.

And to make things even worse, it's not like flipping a switch. You have to enter several different menus and disable forward, rear, lane departure correction, etc. I have a 2023 kicks, the emergency brakes went of OVER 50 TIMES FOR NO REASON AT ALL.

Its not just Rogue. I have a 2024 Nissan Altima SR with 4200 miles on it and am having random braking issues as well. The difference is that I get no warning lights, and it happens when I gently start to apply the brake to slow down. There is no real pattern, it's very random. Could happen when backing out of my driveway at 5 miles an hour or driving down the road and slowing down at 50 miles an hour. Have taken to dealer and they show no codes and can not recreate the problem. It happens about once a week!

My 2018 Nissan Sentra did the same thing today! It frightened me, I was doing 60 miles an hour on i-95 highway, as I was pulling over , I looked at the dashboard & saw a light that I've never seen before, like two cars colliding! I was very frightened. I had shut the car off. I started it up and the light was gone. I was about 7 miles from home. A few minutes later the light came back on with a few beeping sounds. I shut the car off again, started it back up the light was gone again. It seemed to happen about every mile and a half or two!! I got home, and looked it up on Google, video prior to yours miles away from home & I didn't know what it was . I turn the ignition off and looked at the book

I have a 2019 Rogue and when washing or driving through heavy rain the light has come on. It’s goes off soon after. A vehicle pulled in front of me and almost stopped a year ago and my Rogue automatically stopped which was good. For now I’m going to uncheck automatic braking and take to dealership. With CVT transmission I drive it nicely anyway.

Tyler Pfaff - hey. No I only have 52,000 miles on it but did change the CVT fluid just to play it safe. But I also did a full tune on because I didn’t know how the last driver drove it. And doing well. The other thing you might want to remember is let the car warm up because of the transmission fluid is not warmed up you’re going to have sputtering problems. @@tylerpfaff1625 it’s probably a good idea to change the transmission fluid if you haven’t done so already. Most people highly recommend changing it every 30,000 miles with these models. I just bought a used 2016 Rogue SL with about that many miles. I’m not having any issues with it, but I am about to have the fluid changed just to be safe... especially since I don’t really know how long it has been since the transmission was serviced (I bought it from a dealership, so I know virtually nothing. Why I keep choosing to do this, idk). With that said, my SL has the premium package, so I also have to worry about this forward emergency braking issue. Fortunately, you can just turn it off if it’s causing problems.. but you have to go in and change the settings _every time_ you start it 😞

I have a 2018 Nissan Sentra. The warning light is coming on while driving from Tennessee to Indiana on 8/3/21. I just had a new brake light switch installed and a battery when the problem of the warning light for AEB came on. I watched a KZbin video to find the solution. I was directed to remove the check mark from the Emergency Brake feature found in the Settings-Driver Assistance-Driving Aids. Hope this works so that I can continue my trip without another warning signal.

Keep in mind that if it does start malfunctioning, you can go into the settings and turn it off. BUT, you have to do it every time you start your car... it doesn’t maintain the changes you made. So that’s kind of annoying, too.

The symbol means something is blocking your front breaking sensor. The light turning on isn’t dangerous, it just means you actually have to pay attention to surroundings. I have a 2019 rogue sport and that symbol turns on whenever it’s pouring rain, snowing, or my cars just dirty. Lol that symbol really doesn’t mean anything

I'm not sure I can help everyone with this issue but based on my experience where it's happened it's been as I'm approaching the same spot in my route everyday if I'm coming up to where there's this bend for example There's a narrow spot there in the road where there's like a little bridge on both sides in a business park where it's like 30 miles an hour but still fast enough to cause this to be a problem And frankly I don't want to breaking my brakes either right So every time I would approach this and it seemed even more so when it was night time where it can't really see things correctly it would always do that red and white flashing hazard break thing so what I started to do is slow down as I was approaching it and it seemed to alleviate the threat of going at it at a speed that might confuse it to think that it has to stop because it thinks I'm going to go in a straight line when in fact I'm going to be going around the turn

Yes it is terrifying.. happened at 30 miles an hour Never on highway Bought a new Nissan and it hasn't happened I believe there is another way to manually turn it off

I need to get in touch with someone on an issue with my three month old 2021 Rogue. It has had engine malfunction two times leaving me stranded on the side of the road. I know what she is talking about being scared. Nissan says the have it fixed AGAIN. Now I have a new computer installed in my car and they say it’s fixed. I don’t know where to start to get a case open. Nissan Care seems to not be concerned about my safety either. I can tell you if something happens to me and it is because of this default my husband will be rich. They obviously do not care about our safety just our money.

Just curious on how your case is going? My 2020 Rogue is having the same issue I have 2 written reports from the dealership of the issue. But there telling me Nissan most likely wont do anything for it.

@@jueileeneileen4808 I am sorry to tell you that Nissan doesn’t care. They will talk to you bla bla bla but will do nothing to actually solve it. And I’ve realized that when you buy a car with them, even though insured with them and having a guarantee, Nissan won’t help you but will ask you to take them to court instead. THEY KNOW THEY HAVE THE FINANCIAL MEANS TO CRUSH THEIR CLIENTS.
