Game 1: Wtii's Orb of Darkness outplayed Tyrall's Ghoul supremacy securing an easy victory. Game 2: FryBend3r's army of Tanks and Bat riders put Tyrall's and in extent DarkMega's air armies at bay and with Legolas subtle resistance buying as much time the tables turned. Game 3: Wtii got bored and started experimenting as always, putting his team through unnecessary struggle. End of Report.

A big problem with these games is "the rich get richer", when you're ahead you get a big advantage. That can make it very hard to break out.

Yes, but there are comeback mechanics. u can go 1 less gold mine to make sure u get mid, u can sacrifice mid to tech up and get better units, u can counter their units, can get auras, 2 heroes, etc. Of course, RNG plays into this and if you get horrible units versus the enemies u lose, but to add comeback mechanics specifically made to allow people who got rekt early to comeback seems very dumb to me. That makes it so people that won early get punished solely because they were better. It's fine to get outplayed and lose as a result. Don't see the point in giving people that were outplayed comeback mechanics that make up for their lack of skill ^_^. Just don't get stomped early and you will do fine. If you get stomped early you deserve your greed to be punished and lose as a result. This is the case for Legion TD as well. What comeback mechanics are in LTD?

@@ToraAnbu Wall of text crit me for 10,000 damage. That aside, a game should stand on its own. I do not care if another unrelated game has comeback mechanics. I care if a game is fun to play. "don't get stomped" is a really piss-poor explanation in a game with randomized units.

@@JakobusMaximus lot of the dozen times i played this map few yrs ago, i would be winning or losing at first but then other team would comeback ftw/lose. the early game is important, as it should, lest map be boring. Rng units can = lose, but there is a bit of time to counter/change strat early. later game can be slow snowball

@@ToraAnbuI mean, you’re right about legion td and that’s why the game is flawed. I’ve not played direct strike yet but it looks fun and I have a lot of experience with games.. so I can understand the issues. The same issue would exist in dota autochess / tft if you didn’t rotate players.

15 minutes without building mines means the opponents with 2 mines had something like 500 gold more than you. The first mine breaks even with cost in just 5 minutes, the second in 7,5 minutes, so you have a very small window, but you get that advantage with no army to kill anything fast, so it's just bad. Also you got carried on first games because of building a weird mish mash of units instead of building an army that is more focused.

Also it looks like if you don't get any gold mines you don't get the mid gold bonus income.

The trick two ds mix is twofold 1.roll good units. 2. Be less greedy than you think. Winning mid is 90% of success.

One of the issues with this map is that the tower and base steal a lot of experience. If that was fixed you would be less screwed when defending your base. The aura would have to be pretty subtle, but could be effective. Removing the gold advantage for controlling the lane would be similarly effective. Flipping it, (so you get more gold when defending) could also create some interesting tactics

With these options you’d never want to win, because you don’t gain any economic advantage, neither an xp advantage and your opponent has an easier time stacking than you and you can never clear the stack cause of the points I said before.

@@niclasrosin6652 I agree, I would never recommend all of these changes. They are simply individual options. Personally, I think the game is fine to be a bit snowball like, 20 minute games are fun - longer could be a bit boring.

Maybe make so that even the towers (buildings) got the last hit, the heroes can still get XP? Idk maybe that was already the case

hey Witii can you make some episodes where you explain to complete beginners? you can name it guide and people would search for it when they wanna play but dont know much about the custom game its a bit off putting so that would help us alot! and theres almost no guides anywhere on youtube for custom games. TY witii

While Paladin is a weak hero here, I wonder how well he'd do with some Giant Belts. Free damage while invuln and regen a decent amount of health. Still not good, as he's just an auto attacker and a mediocre healer.
