Everything he received was worth more than 10,000$ wow. This is quite possibly one of the greatests news stories to come out in the last 5 years. And she didn't just give him a handout she gave him a handUP that is how you truly help people!!! ANd beautiful lesson you always do the right thing and always have a pure heart cause good things can happen to you because of it. And even if they don't in his case he didn't know by doing the right thing he was gonna be rewarded. Homeless no job on the streets could've done wonders with that 10 grand but instead he's a good person with a strong moral code that could not be broken and he stuck to that even knowing that he desperately needed it. Elmer and Roberta are proof that angels exists on Earth.

These stories give me a tiny little sliver of hope in humanity. People that are homeless, aren't looked at as humans who may have just fallen on hard times, but as criminals who are dirty and have no redeeming qualities. I was homeless and nobody helped me. I was someone who worked my life, I have a degree, I had a home and car. I was not well off but comfortable. I was hit with some devastating situations that caused me to lose everything. I'm still trying to get it all back. I'm just glad people can see past biases and help those in need. One day, someone may help me, but I always pay it forward.
