I don't think I've seen that much overall spin in a women's match in a long time since the new ball. Unfortunately for Sabine a lot of topspin is no problem for a defender like Wu Yang

Winter played all her top spins with her body weight leaned way to the back. She hit the balls at a very late/low point too, narrowing unnecessarily the trajectory angle. Both factors seem to have been causing a lot of unforced errors on her end.

How come a big, tall, strong German woman can't loop underspin? She had no power, can't lift the heavy ball, can't read the no spin chop. Wu Yang started off like she was all business, but played horrible at the end.

thats not true, sabine winter has a lot of power. In the full match, the chiense coach was stating how sabine winter was not sure of wu yangs spin, thats why she was always just doing these high arcing loops to bring the ball back onto the table.

Matthew chan, if Sabine has a powerful loop, she can serve long and fast into Wu Yang's backhand, and immediately rip the chop (which won't be heavy underspin).
