Being a parent is hard, so I think naturally, unless you have a super strong support system, you will have thoughts of "wtf have I done"? But, I will say that goes away pretty fast when you look at them and they're snuggled against you, or smiling at you, or do something for the first time. Losing your independence is hard to come to terms with, but I would never not choose to have my baby. I also had these thoughts when I got my first dog, lol, so I think it just comes with being attached to another living thing that is dependent on you.

The One Piece live action show covers 95 chapters of the manga, which currently has 1091 chapters. I think that they'll stick to covering roughly one "saga" per season, and One Piece will have 10 (kinda 11 but one is super short) sagas total when it's finished. If it actually gets adapted until the end, I think 10-11 seasons is reasonable to expect. Wubby is doing math based on the amount of anime episodes, but the pacing for the show is pretty fast at the start and then drops off a cliff later in the series, so going by manga chapters is a much better way to judge the live action's pacing. I also don't think that the age of the actors will be an issue tbh. halfway through the series there's already a timeskip, and they can extend the length of that timeskip without much issue if it's really needed

while i agree content will have to be cut for the Live Action show, I think its obvious each season will cover a Saga. I would imagine S2 will cover the rest of the East Blue into the grandline, and end with the end of Alabasta. The first season sets up all of your characters including luffy. assuming they wrap up arabasta, that is about 90 episodes that will be cover for s2 idek if they would even do Skypeia, when water 7 is the much more important arc to get to, and that 60 episodes they can either cut or drastically reduce, but as far as I recall, not a lot of major developments happen in Skypiea that couldn't be fit in else where

We did a watch party for the live action one peice. One person was fully caught up, 2 of us were 200 to 300 episodes in, and the last person has never seen an episode. Not a single one of us spent a moment not screaming at the screen, I don't get it even remotely. We got 3 episodes in before we had to turn it off. Maybe I'm missing something, but the best thing I can say about it is it's better than other live action anime

Sounds like you’re coping hard. 1000+ episodes is way too long and the show isn’t even finished yet. It’s a huge commitment. And when everything from the show looks as goofy and bad as it does, it’s a hard sell. he's just gonna ignore the 8:44 ratio in his one piece episode math.. yes.. absolutely they are going to cut it.. they did it from the jump.. i see it going maybe 4-5 seasons.. but even if you just sit down and watch the first season.. its enjoyable on its own.. he acts like sitting down and watching it is going to make him some kind of slave and he pussies out Edit: for Booty.. you werent wrong for pitching this to him.. try again.. tell him he's not crazy.. this show has 4 maybe 5 seasons in it tops.. they will make it 'made for tv' and take some creative liberties but if the first season is anything to go off of you can definitely trust where they are going with it.. and if at the end of the day you wanna drop it at episode 8.. thats cool too.. its an interesting world they built.
