Thanks for another great video! This deck looks pretty fun to play and I think I can throw something together that's pretty close to what you've got with the cards I have. It's a hard choice between Asmodeus and Oswald, I'd really like to see both. I think I'll throw my lot in with Oswald though.

Glad you enjoy the content and how I break down the decks - I strive to have viewers understand why each card was chosen and how the contribute to the decks playstyle and gameplan, so its nice to hear that people are enjoying it! Another vote for Oswald brings him within spitting distance of double digits votes himself and that much closer to reaching Asmodeus!

Hi @grazzet Mtg, very good deck tech on Wulfgar. I like how structure and clear everything was presented. From a content perspective, however, I am missing some form of protection. We are a very creature-heavy deck and need to protect our board state, as well as Wulfgar himself. Green has some very good board protection spells and we could also add something like swiftfoot boots, which can protect Wulfgar (or any other high value creature we have on board) from pesty single target removal. I think once people realize how much value our commander provides, it could be hated out quite quickly. Did you think about the protection aspect and if yes, why did you decide to not include some of the staples there?
@GrazzetMTG3 жыл бұрын
I can see the argument for some more pieces of protection - since our opponents will likely be gunning for Wulfgar once he gets rolling (or even earlier if they are particularly mean). In this case, I wanted to go for a more "glass cannon" type build to in an effort to hit hard and hit fast - in which some of the defensive options may be bricks that don't help us advance that game plan. That being said - both boots, help with protection as well as having or creatures get in for damage, while Wrap in Vigor and Heroic Intervention are great ways to keep our boards intact - all of which can slot in by replacing some of our less efficient creatures from some protection if you find your board getting picked apart frequently.

Wothout further ado; I love this. This deck looks awesome and fun. Some obvious upgrades like Sol ring are in order, but you created an excellent budget core! This one I will definitely try out, great job! Also, I love the pick for the next week. Seems to me I’m gonna have to dig through my bulk to prepare for two new decks xD As for the voting, definitely Oswald. He seems super interesting and fun. Currently I’m working on Osgir, but I wouldn’t mind it at all if you showed my how Oswald could lead his own 99 on a budget. Knowing me, I’m probably gonna add more combos and whatnot, but that’s my problem alone ^^’ Again, great job and I’m looking forward to your next video!

Fair point. Personally, I think decks with green in them can afford to go a bit higher with thier CMC's but I can see the argument to make it a bit leaner to avoid issues in the early game.

The first attack of Wulfgar we should have seen it coming still stepping into war-gear we heard a distant drumming and much despite our efforts our ford in disarray, the first attack of wulfgar bled into a second day. Asmodeus the Devil God, who's binding contract still to this day denies my soul an ounce of its free will. In desperation, years ago, I turned to Duke Zalto, beseeching him to seize the throne, yet He told me "Hell no." Just as I'd resigned my fate I had the strangest inkling the doorbell rang. It was a gnome Selling magical tinkering. He's Odd and wild and little. His magics full of splendor! He has my vote to save my soul, that Oswald Fiddlebender!

I do have ine question, why do you never play mana dorks like Llanowar Elves or Elvish mystic?
@GrazzetMTG3 жыл бұрын
Good question! Honestly, unless the deck has a hyper aggressive curve or take advantage of the mana dorks (by untapping them or some other means), I prefer land base ramp. Its harder for opponents to interact with a land over a creature and it helps thin out the deck (which in a 99 card deck may seem like nothing but can add up with multiple sources of land bases ramp). Hope that answers your question.
@seanm46823 жыл бұрын
@@GrazzetMTG thanks! That actually helps a lot, now that I think about it I should probably cut some of my own dorks in favor of land ramp

TIME TO GO TO WAAAAAAAAAAAAR! Amazing deck as always, one I will definitely test out. Hopefully I can read the data from all the blood. And Targ Nar is in it, successfully redeeming himself. Now that's what I call character development! My one-eyed vote goes to Oswald, The Artifact Birthing Pod, since White is my favourite color in Magic, along with Blue and Red. Also I am curious what a budget build of him would look like. Day 33 of waiting for GrazzetMTG's face reveal. Do you have a favourite color and/or color combination? Or you prefer the color identity of my one-eyed friend?
@GrazzetMTG3 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed the build and as far as a favorite color pairing - I go through so many that its hard to pick a favorite! What I do know is that my least favorite color combo to play is Mardu, despite how much I want a Mardu Human Tribal deck to work..... The artificer begins his accent up the rankings - still bring up the rear but its still early, so anything can happen!
