The puyo player is at a slight disadvantage, because the Tetris player is Wumbo.

I think the biggest issue is that the punishment blocks in Puyo are just a lot worse than the punishment blocks in Tetris. The most that can happen in Tetris is you get closer to death. In Puyo your whole strategy gets disrupted by garbage.
