alright so you're telling me that:
- a near-suicide misdrop at the top that almost outright killed me

Not sure if you care this long later, but a simple explanation is that the person behind this clip started by building up a quick stack to bait in a large amount of focus, then used the Parry/Riposte (as the latter is what the video says) feature to instead simultaneously send stuff back at the people targeting them, which in turn led to most of their attackers getting more lines than they could clear all at once and losing in turn. Once the opponents stopped focusing them, they knocked out the rest mostly one at a time.

@@rickywalters7717 in tetris 99 you can target people that are almost losing, and you can also target everyone that’s targetting YOU. so by purposefully making himself almost lose, he can target ALL the people that are targeting the ones that are losing. it’s a bold strategy but it worked out.
