You can use your starter set of leather armor to make studded armor. Probably better/easier for a new player than trying to make a chain set.

I don't know, I've been ingame only about 6 months, Milo. But it is there now, and if new players are watching this video, hopefully, they will read my comment and make a set of studded armor and get decent protection a lot faster than working up their chain armor skills to the point where they can make a full set of chain. I wish someone had told me I could use my starter set to make studded leather and that the studded leather provided nearly as good protection as chain without as much movement penalty.

best way to raise digging is to be a slave for someone. find someone on the server wanting to do lots of terraforming. get a good shovel and burn your sleep bonus. easy high digging skill. or just do your own project.

You can pish and pull things. You can also load things into carts and wagons, if u have the strength to do so.
