New Braunfels has a strong German heritage a dialect called German Texan is spoken here there is an amazing waterpark and the largest Buccee's too. Such a cool place. Wurstfest is like Oktoberfest. I saw a guy wearing leiderhosen

Absolutely. I mean it's pretty wild and it's a big event. I wouldn't come just for that tho - but there are PLENTY of things to do in New Braunfels and the surrounding area. But definitely come for the good vibes and German ambiance.

That's awesome! I want to visit Braunfels someday. Is Prince Karl of Solms-Braunfels talked about in your town? He basically started New Braunfels (with the Adelsverein in Texas). Cool stuff!

It's amazing. It depends on what you mean by authentic - New Braunfels was founded by Germans making their way into Texas from the coast and their descendants have been here since. They didn't start Wurstfest back then but have had a lot of traditional German events making the community super tight. With that said, a lot of tourists come from all over Texas since it's so popular. We'll see what happens this year! I think it's the 60th Anniversary.
