Making a 1.1 updated video this month, if I can get 1k subs I'll drop it early 🤫 EDIT: If ScreenPercentage doesn't work after 1.1 Try this: r.SecondaryScreenPercentage.GameViewport=75 etc instead If it says you do not have permission to edit the ini file, drag the file out of it's folder to your desktop, edit it then save, then drag it back into the WindowsNoEditor folder. For people with multiple drives and SSDs, put the installation of the game on your Boot drive (the one with Windows on it). It might help stutter.

​@@Vipexy It shouldn't generate the particles at all, say if you were put it to "1", then yes you wouldnt see skill effects and all kinds of FX that use particles. I don't recommend putting it this low, below 40 seems to hide some things like the grapple. It's only advised to play around with that number if you're absolutely trying to squeeze out more frames or any type of fight with lots of particles gives you single digit FPS. (particles in that case might be your biggest problem, but yout hardware). Finally someone mentions the xbox gamebar bs. Turning off gamebar is the equivalent of cutting off your own toe, yeah sure less blood(resources) are being used, but it's so minimal that you might as well keep it also thanks for the stuff for the engine ini. Helped a lot from 25 fps to a solid 50.

lets be real these guides are awesome especially for people who have systems barely reaching the minimum requirments but im sure some of you guys would be tempted to change more than what the vid says and let me tell you pls dont (a friend of mine started studying the .ini file to change more for more FPS, and yea pls dont do this) we dont know how much kuro will tolerate editing the gamefiles, as for this vid it doesnt really harm the game yet i think since its just forcing a lower quality in exchange for performance, but editing more than what you need could lead to a ban, since even if its not your intention, you could be suspected for cheating i know 60fps is coveted but reaching around 40 is enough, this is not a pvp game where fps matters more 30-40 should be more than enough that the game doesnt look laggy and should be responsive enough lastly if you still see some stuttering or sudden lag or fps drop, try searching your problems 1st, it could be a bug or optimization issues rather than your system (do this before you start tweaking more) in which case just send a feedback report since kuro should be expected to be flooded with similar feedbacks and knowing kuro, it should be fixed soon

the resolution quality should do the same thing, I would not use both its pointless. Vsync does not give you FPS, it's just for Screen Tearing if you have that issue. Doesn't hurt to turn it on/off and see tho. Hmmm, not sure about that one. It takes about 3-5 minutes to load on my HDD, but 30 seconds on my SSD. It could be that, your SSD is slow, wich could be because of many things, like the more it writes the slower it gets(like if u've had it for years), the more full it is the slower it is. It could be somethign else interfering with it, I'm not entirely sure about that one

@@soulzyx thanks a lot, about my ssd, its relatively new which is quite strange. what makes it even more strange is that the loading times are random: example: it takes like 1-2 minutes to get into the game, then the rest of the loading screens are fast. sometimes it takes another 1-2 minutes when i teleport to a place far from the one where im standing at.

i dont think so, sorry. Not without knowing "what they did" to your PC. Which is why I recommend never running it, only reinstalling Windows would undo them unless you're technical to look up what the registry edits do, and how to undo them. If nothing bad has happened to your pc, you should be fine ... i hope for your sake

I think 40 is the minimum, but people told me it hides the golden trail on the sensor gadget, so Idk if you'd want to touch it. It's experimental. It's better to leave it at default honestly, I was playing around it and unless you absolutely just hide particles, in places like Illusion realm I'm alwayss getting FPS drops especially from Mortefi Liberation. It's best just to play with it yourself to know my friend

I also have a question tho : From personal experience , i had awful frametimes in WuWa so to fix it i disabled VSync internally and i used the RivaTuner FPS Limiter to either 60 without the patch or 120 with the patch , would you say this is indeed helping or is it pointless?

I noticed it lowered the ""frame times" when using RTTS cap, but like, I noticed no difference in smoothness or stutter, so it might very well be placeabo. Since it's already 60 capped, I don't bother to cap it myself in Nvidia Control Panel on the driver level but i did notice that yes. If you feel like it's working for you, go for it.

your system is too weak to handle the game, the reason why it's smooth in domains, it's because it isn't rendering anything in the game, it's just sky, no object, no characters, no geometry. When you leave, it has to render the game and that's why it's lag. The best things you can do is, apply the ini tweaks in my video (which will increase FPS), or get a new stronger system that can play the game that's not below the minimum requirements

Indeed, no you don't need to change anything ingame. But about this Exclusive Fulscreen Mode, it doesn't work anymore. Setting =0 in the file will just default to 1 (Borderless) when you launch the game. The Engine.ini still works tho

Lost Ark uses Unreal Engine 3, so it can be modified. Unfortunately, I don't think there is a config file generated to edit, which looks to be deliberate by the developers. There's no .ini files, unless you can find them, I could not online. (if you can find engine.ini, or any ini in Unreal Engine games, they can be changed in the same way as this video, although not all settings may apply)

*I tried this myself but I see few people talking about it. If you use RTX and have DLSS support in the game, you should disable DLSS + Vsync + Reflex. This will greatly reduce the fps drop phenomenon. I tested it myself and it worked very well. Perhaps DLSS still doesn't work well with WW, turning it on just makes the game blurrier and stutterier. If you try it successfully, let me know.*

Yes, it's a problem with the game and how it renders. I don't think there is a setting you can change to fix that. Not sure if the developers can fix it, if it's just how it does whatever it processes in this way. I would hope they can, but I am not betting on it. It's pretty unacceptable. The huge freezing repeatedly goes away for me, and becomes way less the longer I've had the game running/been to the same areas. But if you reopen the game, the whole thing will have to do it all again.

Hm, did you set the Resolution= lines to your monitors res? ResolutionSizeX= ResolutionSizeY= LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeX= LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeY= And what did you mean by it's black and only runnign when you tab out, if you tab back in, it shows the game? Or is it black again? Could be your laptop, can't say for sure. But if you have to ignore that change Just set FullscreenMode=1 And that's the default the game uses for Borderless ingame, without any changes. You won't get exclusive fullscreen in that case.

So after testing, I don't think the CPUParticles one does anything, however FX.MaxGPUParticlesSpawnedPerFrame=60 fx.MaxNiagaraGPUParticlesSpawnPerFrame=60 these will change how many "effects" you see on the screen, so like in combat if you were to set this very low number like 20, the skill effects will be a lot less its mostly for very weak system who drop FPS in combat. I removed this lines though, because it causes some effects to be invisible at certain numbers. People told me the golden trails from Sensor werent appearing till they remove it so I havent included it but feel frree to experiment

You can do Alt+ Enter like duck55550 said, but ingame you can just switch it to "Windowed" in the ingame graphic settings. Then select resolution from there. Fullscreenmode=0 will make it fullscreen, so you probably shouldnt apply that if you want it windowed (it gets overriden if you change it ingame either way)

the screenpercentage worked out very well thanks just one small problem when i swapped resolution to windoweded it canceled it out, i tried to go fullscreen and re save the changes in the engine ini file but it didnt work as for the other tweaks in effects, they seem to be working fine, any idea how to fix this? :p thank you for your time in advance

@@lithyx4557 It probably can't do ScreenPercentage in non fullscreen mode. Also you can't edit the ini file while the game is open. Did you try closing the game, checking Engine.ini again?

@@soulzyx yes it is on fullscreen mode, and i did check the engine ini as it is closed, it is on the same numbers i set, i even changed the values again thinking that there may have been a problem in the saving process and it didnt work, i've also tried enabling and disabling ''read only'' on engine ini file and it didnt work the weird thing is that the other tweaks in the other effects are working perfectly fine but when it comes to the screenprecentage it doesnt work, maybe it still is reading it as non fullscreen which caused the issue?

@@lithyx4557 Don't set it as read-only, the file needs to be written to by the game, it might act up if you do that. Check UserGameSettings and check if FullscreenMode is 0, or 1 As well there's LastConfirmedFullscreenMode= The last thing I can think of, is.. are you sure it's not applied and you can't tell? Change that ScreenPercentage to =10 or something, and you'll know if it's on or not.

For some reason, when I click to enter the game, it resets my resolution to the default 1920x1080, which isn't my screen resolution. It changes in the the ini file as well, and I'm not sure how to stop it from happening.

Hi. Please confirm that it is infact your "native screen resolution", what I mean by that is, when you play ingame, everything looks okay. If you have higher than 1920x1080, like for instance, I am playing on 2560 x 1440, it shows 1920 x 1080 ingame in the settings, aswell as in the file, but the game is actually being rendered at my 1440. A good way to tell is, changing ingame to "Windowed", if your monitor was bigger than 1920x1080, it wouldn't fill the screen in Windowed mode. It would be a smaller box when Windowed, that's the real aspect ratio of 1080 for example.

I just set my FullscreenMode=0 ResolutionSizeX=2560 ResolutionSizeY=1440 LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeX=2560 LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeY=1440 It didn't change it when launching the game. Are you sure you changed these, and also do you not change anything ingame from the menu. Are you also sure the file isnt "read only" ?

Ok, I'm back, you'e rright past the opening screen the made 1080p, I have no idea why. It was working fine before. You could try set the file to read-only, I'm not entirely sure why that happens now. Edit: Even read-only doesnt fix that, I guess if you're not native 1080p the exclusive fullscreen thing doesnt work :/ stuck to bordeless

Yeah, I don't think thats a setting that works on android. It doesn't use the same line as PC, it uses some other mobile resolution one, and you can't change it, it's forced depending on your hardware. There's actually a 2nd file you can edit on Android, called DeviceProfiles, but I will cover that in my next big video on optimisation. For now, I would just use FSR ingame. For Engine.ini, you can use these: r.Shadow.RadiusThreshold=0.06 r.Shadow.DistanceScale=0.6 r.LandscapeLODBias=1 r.MipMapLODBias=1 r.ParticleLODBias=2147483647 wp.Runtime.OverrideMultipleRuntimeGridLoadingRangeValues=100&200&300&400&1000&4000&250&400&500&250&650&800&850&1000&90&120&150&250&60&120&150&150&1000&4000&75&120&200&900&1250 ---- Don't know how many of the description ones work in mobile and don't. But the DeviceProfiles.ini tweak should help quite a bit, you can look that stuff up online if you don't want to end up waiting for me covering it

@@soulzyx for my experience, the only thing that works are the grass texture, water texture and the fog. others like ruining your character design don't work. anyway, thanks for the tweak, I'll try using it. EDIT: after i checked it, for mine there is no device profile, instead, it's game user settings, i changed the resolution to 33% since that's the lowest % you can use.

They actually increased base mouse "sensitivity" a few days ago, but if you want to further increase it, try this. Wuthering Waves Game\Client\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Input.ini add these under the last line in that file bEnableMouseSmoothing=False bViewAccelerationEnabled=False MouseSensitivity=1.0 ; set MouseSensitivity=1.0 to whatever you want, 1.5 or whateverr, it should be beyond 100 ingame (1.0 = 100, 1.5 = 150), just don't change it ingame again and yes it can technically be "bannable", but like I told with everyone else who asked, the chance of being banned for something that isn't cheating is very unlikely. Do at your own risk like the video says

@@kuki6516 I would say no. Setting Priority High gives more "resource" priority to that process, but only for the CPU. If you are playing WW, then it''s most likely Windows is always prioritsing that program to get more memory anyway. (I guess, in a thereotical scenario where you have so many applications and programs open already fighting for memory while trying to play the game, it might end up helping in those cases). You can try it though. For my setup, it didn't make the game run better.

You use DLSS? The best way would be playing native, 1080p because DLSS/FSR will use lower res then try and upscale to native. Although like you said the anti aliasing the game uses is TAA. You can try add r.Tonemapper.Sharpen=1 under [SystemSettings] in Engine.ini And play around the value, I believe =10 to be the maximum. ;this uses FXAA instead of TAA r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing=1 I don't know if these lines get read by the game though, you'd have to test because I know they work with UE4, but some settings get overriden by WuWa.

@@soulzyx i choose between dlss ssao et.c. based of result, in most game its different, for wuwa i got rare case where dlss give me more fps and clearer picture at the same time. I tested setting u gave me and unfortunately it didt work. Tho the settings of ur video do cleared picture for me, may be cuz dlss was making my res too low, and with fps boost it rise the res, i dont now. But i got more or less stable 60fps in main town and clearer picture, so thanks a lot !!

i have an advice for people with potato pc that is still using hdd, apparently playing WuWa from hdd can cause stuttering frequently even tho you already tweaking the file, but if you use at least 2.5" SATA ssd it can reduce the stuttering issue a lot, and obviously using faster ssd will help reduce the stuttering further. at least this work for me, from stuttering each 5 second to barely stuttering (only after teleporting for several times)

Move the file outside of it's installation folder to somewhere like your desktop, edit it, then save, and then you can drag it back to it's folder you took it from.

Thankyou so much! This helps a lot. There is one thing I've notice, I apply the limit particle amount and it seems that if affects jianxin's forte skill. Sometimes it automatically ends the skill without releasing the button. I'm not sure if this cause the problem but it only occurs after I use the tweaks.

Interesting, it could be that the skill requests more particles, it shouldnt "end" it though, it should keep going but it should be "invisible". I guess you can try putting it above 40, see what 50-60 does.
