@@eddieboston6540 strictly comparing wuwa and genshin here. what are these games? exploration based hack and slash gachas with a story. so lets break it down. on the exploration front. wuthering waves wins. multiple people and streamers have to play genshin first then play wuwa after, cause if you do it in reverse, they have a less than enjoyable time because genshins exploration really is that outdated compared to wuwa. thats to say nothing of genshins paywalled movement mechanics. on the hack and slash combat. i dont even have to elaborate on this one. wuwas combat is simply more enjoyable with more mechanics. on gacha. 80 pull pity compared to 90. no 50/50 weapon banner. though i believe genshins weapon banner is worse than a 50/50. you can correct me on that if im wrong. Also the flow of currency is just more generous on wuwa than it is on genshin from my experience. all those things add up to a much better pulling experience on wuwa. and for story, i do agree genshin story is better at this current time, wuwa 1.0 story doesn't get good till ch1 act 3. but the way genshin tells their story isnt really that good, one of my most memorably hated times playing genshin was the aranara questline. i wanted to kill myself. i never felt that same hopeless frustration on wuwa, even with yangyangs 1.0 yapfest. all in all wuwa just beats genshin in everything that game is supposed to be at its core. i dont see any reason to stick with genshin unless you really do like paimon, its story, and suffering on every other front.

Reminder to those who are reading the news or announcement. Region ≠ Nation Major updates means new regions or cities. I did have a suspicion that Huanglong is much bigger, like there are blocked areas to the left of Jinzhou/Huanglong on the map. And NPCs mentioned three other city-states or islands of Rinascita. Septimont, Lilyland and Riccioli. So I am quite excited to see the rest of these nations honestly.

From my perspective, Kuro is definitely cooking. Rinascita showed us that some people are using the Lament as a way to gain power. Power dynamics will start to get more importance in the Story in my opinion. We just saw that the Fracticidus has ties with some leaders of other organizations. Huanglong may be even more entangled with the Fracticidus, which why Changli is on bad terms with them because she is wary of themselves. They can even use The Exiles as sacrifices in some experiments, leading Calcharo to involve himself. I'm just cooking but WuWa's story has definitely too many possibilities.

Honestly, I'm always amazed by Kuro and their work. I think they have improved so much since 1.0. It's been a pleasure to see how they will continue take care of the player base. While it's really neat that they are giving us a big major patch every 6 months, I think in general, I would be willing to wait longer because I know that the people at Kuro put so much hard work. Better quality is always more important than speed to me personally. I don't play HSR or GI, mainly because I would rather focus on WuWa than split my time and money. I did play a little of HSR but didn't get far, and I played GI when it freshly came out so I can't say much on that side. I just enjoy the setting and story plots of WuWa more really, HSR has really cool combat though. I can't wait to see what is coming up in HSR since I have multiple friends who play it vs WuWa. Also Kuro, please give us more men that's all I'm asking for TwT.... Can't wait to see Brant though! I just hope everyone has a good time with whatever game they play and that their pulls are golden o/!

Calcharo's mercenary group originates or mainly operates in New Federation, once we get there he will surely play a big role. Meanwhile danjin is just randomly going around Huanglong so we don't know when she will come back in the story. They're not neglected more like pushed back because of what happened after CBT1. Let's start seeing thing in business perspective. Take a look at KFC, biggest fried chicken franchise, but for the past few years, KFC is slowly dying, many stores are closed. It's all because of competition, very very fierce competition, local brand offer cheap and delicious chicken. Now look at HSR, they took the existing formula and make it anime and epic. But they kept re-using the same formula over and over, Genshin syndrome are being used for Hoyo players, meanwhile other games offer more than what Hoyo could ever do. WuWa is huge, extremely huge in Korea, there must be a successful Formula they used in Korea, now they just need to adjust that in Global market. HSR x Fate will not as big, because players kept seeing and peeking to WuWa. Not to mention NTE will be coming out this year, the dev are cooking. People being so observant right now, and patiently wait. Player need to be wise to spent their money on Gacha, unlike before only monopolize by Genshin since there is only one anime Gacha that etched into player's mind during covid. Now covid is gone, budget is tight, competitor is getting better and better each time. Hoyo slowly dying but surely, their greedy banner in genshin is already a proof, next it will be other franchises. at this very moment, HSR is the only game of Hoyo that carry them, but even HSR can't walk further as WuWa in the future. That is my perspective based on Business.

Things that would have made Genshin better: 1- Skip button(At least for side quests...) 2- Not waiting 800+ days for a rerun character/weapon (PrimordialJadeCutter, Eula, Shenhe, Ganyu, kokomi) 3- Giving 5* to characters that aren't in the main story, weak or random(Sigewine, klee, chiori, emile, mizuki, qiqi) And 4* that should have been a 5* : ⚪The governor of Liyue "Ningguang" ⚪Fatui with a rough past and trained by arlechinno "Lynette" ⚪A general of the Watatsumi Army "Gorou" ⚪One of the 5 heroes of natlan "Ororon" 4- Improving QoL movement in the over world and revisiting extremely powercreped characters 5- Instead of random NPC, make events with characters/friends that we know. 6- Resin storage and unlock material maps domain dates. 7- Not throwing our feedback into a shredder.

Yet none of this matters since Genshin Impact still has CN and most of Global as a monopoly. Wuwa CCs and the community at large need to stop desperately comparing themselves to Hoyo and Genshin Impact. Number-wise, you will never compete. Most gacha games will never compete, including other Hoyo games. This is why other titles focus on the community and keep it moving. Wuwa is finally at a good space, except for mobile, and you're simply wasting your breathe calling Hoyo lazy or calling them every name in the book. They got the numbers showing their community doesn't care and the ones that do are in the minority.

Genshin has: 1. of the worst character models in gacha for games released 2019 or later 2. Rewards not very good and slow to get units in comparison to Wuva or even to HSR 3. Animations are not fun enough imo. They are lacking to Wuva by far. 4. The ost is really good. 5. The open world is pretty. 6. Everything stays the same mentality, no new end game modes 7. That revenue site has severely flawed methodology. It bases its assumptions (because that is what they are) on total downloads per month. That says very little about revenue and a whole lot more about player retention. On top of that it does not include PC and consoles in its assumptions and for android they add a multiplier on the total monthly downloads on iOS. And that multiplier is based on absolutely nothing substantial.

just 1 problem with that ww started development about the same time as genshin released meaning they had no idea if genshin would have been successful. also kuro didnt copy anything from hoyo except the genre unlike hoyo who has been caught copying other peoples work.

@@kawaiimika7974 whats your problem with stating cold hard facts? i mean have you never seen anything of ww? clearly not as well its objectively better than genshin in every single way except ost which is the only thing up for debate. graphically ww is better,exploration is better,combat is better,boss mechanics and design are better, all characters have more detail in ww than in genshin, body proportions are better and dont have a giant head.
