Post apocalyptic tech wear is what the rover wears mostly, given how they are in the end times so adaptability on their clothing with black and white along with their small flair of style, plus its Chinese, Xiopao clothing with tactical wear have a thing for Chinese inspiration. PGR works well with the monochrome aesthetic of dread but has colors pop

A detail that i think you missed on The Shorekeeper is that her veil represents her faction, the Black Shores. The white with butterflies represents the land, the black metal lining represents a shore, a black shore, and the blue is the sea. It's easier to see in game, because the blue on her veil has a special visual effect that looks like waves on the water.

For Rover: There's a "God walking among men" type of narrative forming so that makes the "stealth" and "status" thing pretty on point.

Honestly, Kuro Game's somehow gained mastery of making the in-game model even better than 2D Art, every character has insane amount of model fidelity that the 2D Art couldnt rrally convey, especially when there's elements for the characters that move and even glow. And yes, their character silhouettes are also pretty good even though they're using the same system as Hoyo with model size templates. 2.0 has been such a breath of fresh air for a lot of us since 1.x has so monochromatic from both the characters and environment that when the new region was announced everyone had a skeptical look because it's somehow contradicting their signature monochromatic aesthetic. Then 2.0 drops with such good use of contrast on the region's overall aesthetic that everyone just collectively say that the entire update has been great.

In my experience, people have a tendency to assume main characters are blank self-inserts until they get smacked in the face by how much was hidden under the surface. Rover for instance has a reverence for the past, but a drive to move forward. When faced with an incredibly convoluted puzzle, they are hyperfixated on it, and display an inhuman degree of patience and understanding to solve the mystery custom-built for them, which is hilariously at odds with players, but makes total sense with Rover’s hidden past

I mean...I do blame Kirito on how he was popular to the point we got a lot of black haired dudes in Isekai, but that's because at that time SAO was revolutionary as a new genre and cool factor.

2:01:55 ey Warframe mentioned. I mean ye, Tenno gen is where community skins thrive and earn a cut from the developers to the artists, making it more welcoming to the community. I as a vet myself only spend (trade is easier) platinum, in game currency for free for skins or bundles that cost plat. Warframe respects my time so it's not surprising if I can get 75% off discounts so I can get extra plat
