I pretty much agreed with Shinya concerned when looking at how passionate the WuWa community and CC defense and white knight WuWa. But still too fast of a concern to talk about it when the game is still young and ppl are still very passionate about it. The irony is even bigger when you realise hoyo is copying everything kuro is doing. WW gives 800 asterites because people wanted it to win goty? ZZZ releases 800 IG currency 2 hr later. WW adds free 5 star selector? Genshin for the 1st time in their existance adds a 5 star selector a month or so later. Running on walls, grappling, the entire inferno rider echo? Yep, genshin adds it all behind a paywall. Echoes? Yep natlan has a shitties version of them. Genshin is a great game but it has stolen literally everything in the game from other games. Calling any game a genshin copy is crazy. You cant copy a copy.

Even then, BOTW is not the first game to use a lot of it's exploration mechanics. It's a common thing to use trends that work in other games in your own game. But a lot of people who say stuff like "Genshin copy" obviously don't know many games XD

Sunk cost. And im betting most of them are first timers when it comes to Live Service games which they committed so much time or money and worst of all they started with a Gacha. Well its a good lesson for them, that when it comes to Live Service as long as the devs don't constantly improve their game, the more older it becomes the more likely its going to be overtaken by newer live service and die off. Now that their are so many openworld gacha planned to be released Azur Promillia,NTE,Ananta, segregated openworld like endfield etc coming, if Hoyo won't improve their game ASAP im betting it will slowly die, or they might just kill GI intentionally and go with GI 2 with UE4/5 engine who knows.

Wuwa set the tone for open world exploration with mechanics and gadgets that don't need to be tied to a region. Even simple infinite sprint stamina while outside combat is something Genshin devs won't consider for the past 4 years.

I really don't get why people are hating on WuWa because the game is really fun and I've been enjoying playing it way more than Genshin. I tried playing Genshin again recently and also started WuWa but have found as a new player WuWa is better in terms of gameplay mostly.
