​@puenboy1 its not about those its systematic. look at how many male characters in gacha game have a top meta position compared to female ones. especially in the dps range. there is a reason guys get weaker kits on average. the only clear exception i can think of rn is neuvilette. male characters do decent in defensive roles but otherwise its rare to see a good male character. you also almost never see any male character that gets hyped up to be a must pull like eg acheron and firefly. You can always replace the male character with a female one of the same role and efficiency and build meta full waifu teams. you cannot do that with husbandos.

as a mobile player i think that wuwa lost a ton of mobile players due to the performance issues the fact that the hoyo games works on low end devices makes a huge difference changli is an amazing character but playing her on Mobile is a little bit annoying especially if you have some issues in the frame rates and the camera bug isn't happening either i think now the majority of wuwa players play on pc and unfortunately we can't see the revenue there and we really can't forget that the amount of pulls we did get are crazy i have every single character in the game and I'm a f2p player and also have 2 limited weapons but they really need to do something with the performance of the game on mobile I'm suggesting something like what genshin did they need to limit the stuff that we can see from very far away

Not really, ZZZ literally got banned from being installed by any mobile that has crappy specs, yet i can install and play WuWa in my crappy mobile. The main problem of Kurogames in general is how their combat/gameplay designs filters alot of normies from PGR to WuWa, its punishing and overly complicated and especially if you're playing it in mobile and if you didn't play hard ARPG in your mobile before starting WuWa, you're definitely gonna quit the game (the biggest mistake they made is not putting controller support Day 1 for WuWa). Compare that to Hoyo game designs which is pretty casual and not overly punishing, the only good thing why Kurogames survive is the loyalty of the players who prefers a much more challenging game.

there are 3 factors why wuwa revenue slashed. 1. by 2nd week we can already clear the hardest content 2. repeat the 1st one 3. repeat the 1st one. na-west hyped the battle so much but it doesnt contain anything after you finished it. spending money is detrimental for the game battle mechanics . you can pretty much nuke the bosses mechanics to the wazu from spending enough money to get dupes. the paid weapons is pretty much power creep the game bosses it deletes every mechanics they were going for which makes the game very unfun to play. and lastly animations still floods the screen with their damn sht camera placement.

Here are factors why it shouldn't have slashed. 1.1 is a better patch than 1.0. the characters themselves are ultra shilled by the developers and anticipated by the kurobots. Not only are the two 1.1 characters anticipated, jingshi is extremely meta. I'll tell you the reason reason it slashed, too many players quit so even despite 1.1 being jingshi and changli it won't matter if too many people dropped the game or stopped spending on it.

The profit is being spread out into the two new big gacha games of the year, considering there are already a lot of new gachas today. 2 Big names happening in a span of a few months, is an anomaly that hasn't happened in previous years. Market size doesn't just increase steadily. Profit would only go lower for any upcoming new gacha games, the more there are already in the market. Genshin had 175mil, Honki had 120mil, ZZZ has 90mil, in the future there's a high chance it will only go lower from that, since not everyone has infinite money to spend on all these gacha games.

For context, hoyo: Genshin made like 239 mil USD grossing mobile revenue at October 2020 (the game was released September 28th), according to SensorTower (which, at this time, was already a tried-and-proven source for gacha game revenue calculation company. They've been around for a long time, you know.) Honkai Star Rail made like 130 mil USD in mobile revenue at its first month. so ZZZ did perform less compared to its 2 big sisters. but the key point for ZZZ now is how it can smoothen its graph descend/make another jump. For WuWa: it's normal. Most gacha games did perform like half its launch income within the 2nd-6th month. That means WuWa counts as a normal gacha game, which life expectancy usually last normally up to 5-6 years. That being said: in the end it's a matter of whether the dev is willing to continue giving content over years. So when you consider that PGR used to earn way less than WuWa, I see no reason for Kurogames to ever abandon WuWa. (Unless Tencent beckons them to, ofc. But... yeah the sooner they can cut ties with Tencent, the better.) Love and Deep Space: they got horni girl powaa. if hoyo does anything close to what LaDS does (example: hoyo one day choose to do something like LaDS in Tears of Themis), for sure it would be on the news and the CCP would be on their back bcs jealous competitors gonna report hoyo with their hired goons power. As long as LaDS get to be free to do any type of content they want, we should expect them to perform well. (in other words: as long as LaDS stays away from the bad people such as the CCs you've naively made friends with, lately, Pokke.)

INSANE. Either way, Zenless and WuWa are doing great from a business perspective. The number of active players is the easiest way to understand the revenue. People can't spend if they can't play. That’s crazy anyone was dumb enough to think wuwa’s 1.1 patch would out earn ZZZ’s launch unironically. I do think if wuwa doesn’t fix their core issues surrounding their story, characters, and overworld. They are going to be kind of hobbling themselves. ZZZ has a pretty easy road to success as the one thing they really just need to do is pretty easy to implement which is adjusting the enemy behavior. Though i’d actually like to see ZZZ take go crazy with the resoniums and have content that warrants it. That said i despise these games (primarily Genshin, Wuwa, ZZZ) are made with mobile in mind because it severely cucks their potential for difficulty, mechancis, complexity, graphics, and the environment. It’s like the Destiny 1 situation with the last gen and current gen consoles and demanding and equal experience between the two.

On the bright side, their Mount Firmament update was a step in the right direction. The game's story has improved dramatically compared to the confusing yap-fest from the first 4-5 chapters in 1.0, if Jinhsi and Changli's quests are anything to go by. But yeah, - the terrible optimization issues on release permanently screwed the game over from this point forward, it'll be lucky to attain another top-5 revenue position in its future. As for ZZZ, I think it'll retain its success until one of the up-and-coming GTA-inspired gacha games (like NTE or Mugen) get an international release. And once that happens, ZZZ will see a sudden, permanent drop as far international retention & revenue sales go (and to be frank, I don't see it retaining its position in the top 5 either.)

Actually as a PC Wuwa player I think the difficulty and complexity is more than reasonable even by PC game standards. Which I think might actually cuck their mobile playerbase who may struggle to enjoy the game if it's too hard for them. Since this video presents mobile revenue only it doesnt surprise me that Wuwa would fall off but I'd be curious to have PC numbers as well. The story and characters development are also improving, I picked it up in 1.1 and there is a sizeable quality gap between Mt Firmament quests and the rest of the game, so hopefully it'll keep improving. But I think that's beside the point, I don't think revenue is a good metric to measure how good a game is. ZZZ had a strong marketing and Mihoyo's reputation guarantees to give their game a lot of visibility. Wuwa also seems way more generous toward low spenders/f2p players which is good for the players but could lower their revenue.

I engage with it in the event at any point it stops being blah but the overarching story is really bad. Abby is enjoyable as a character and so is changli and that’s kinda it and more so the character than again the overall story. Im usually very big into the story, but wuwa’s just feels like me slaving away huffing copium it’s going to be good or interesting at some point. There’s little to no depth to almost the entirety of the cast and we know little to nothing about the cast. There’s many we haven’t interacted with period, and you never interact with them outside an event/mainstory The overworld enemies are boring, running around and getting echoes becomes awful post exploration. They are also uninspired. Once i stop playing htis game whenever. I doubt 5-10yrs later I’ll remember these bland enemies. Events are pretty much all baby events It has the exact issue as genshin once you explore it’s just an aesthetic barren wasteland. There’s not that much that’s different than genshin either. Yeah you got a 1 time clear boss mode for some rewards (holos) and the roguelite(that only updates once per patch?) the vast majority of the environment is mid and forgettable with many low tier assets that just look like they bought them off the unreal shop or something. There’s not really that many points of interest that are worth remembering or even looking at. There are some that are pretty but most are whatever. The combat’s really simple and short of dodging things that deal high dmg. doesn’t actually require you to engage with it to clear the content. In fact it’s so easy you can macro everything and it works with all characters for one macro just having said macro set to repeat. It’s literally the most brainless combat. The holos are the only saving grace at lvl 5-6 and i think 4 for the memphis. ToA is just Spiral Abyss but even more lame iwhich is impressive. So yeah all of those issues were not fixed in 1.1 That’s not even my full list of grievances. Those are just some of the biggest issues I see. I doubt i ever hear someone say “man i hate playing wuwa but i just can’t stop because i have to see how the story concludes” It has good things going for sure, but it has some big issues since it’s trying to compete 1 to 1 with Genshin and the swarm of games coming in the pipe line that will also compete directly. Where if it wasn’t in direct competition a couple of these issues wouldn’t be as big. genshin has its core flaws but unlike Wuwa, it’s already established. Granted i’d still love for them to fix their shit but its in a little different situation.

As much as I love WuWa, it really is lacking in terms of modes. No weekly modes like the simulated universe to get free pulls and free currency, the shop doesn't restart every month but every patch, no guarantee of gold resources when doing the challenges, the tower of adversity to this day is still very hard to finish for 90% of the players. Overall the gameplay experience is demotivating. When they added more stuff and listened to every complaint, I bought the battle pass as well as the monthly card but since, I haven't because I feel like the game really isn't that good once you're in the end game. Some sort of system like ZZZ where you can use more energy to farm would be great help.

I haven't seen anyone playing wuwa on phone and everyone who tested the mobile version has already switched to pc or left the game completely. the Game is too difficult for mobile and on top of that performance of the mobile version is so bad. I'm on mobile because I don't have a gaming PC (I have a PS5 though) and it is true what you are saying. I have a very good phone and I love WuWa's concept and characters, but I often don't feel like playing it because it is just too laggy in combat and the exploration just isn't as enjoyable when your perspective is so lacking with small screen

But man do i need a new system to play it on, like my laptop is having trouble playing WuWa alone, but with ZZZ and HSR i'm able to play it along with opening a switch emulator and play online with minimal frame loss.
