An Iowa State fan here. Hang in there. A couple years ago, ISU won 3 games. Was it the coach, he needed to make changes? Campbell fired 3/4 of his staff. Made a difference. Could that help WV situation?
@Greenface3517 сағат бұрын
I think it could help but he seems unwilling to make any changes with his staff. I think the athletic department would have to force his hand at this point. Much respect to your university, programs, and fans. Classy bunch

First up, I love playing you guys. It's always a good, classy game. Loved seeing the sportsmanship from both our squads after just about every play Saturday, you don't see much of that these days. That was great to witness. As to Neal firing those that are not carrying their weight, I don't think so. I'm not sure he has the b@lls to do that. Jordan Lesley's defense is hot garbage and has been since he took the DC reins. I don't see it changing either. Neal won't fire him though or any other coach for that matter. I fully understand cohesiveness and it's importance to any program but if people are not performing to an acceptable standard then, what's the point? The other part of it is that I just don't know if it would make a bit of difference anyway. I do not hate Neal in any way and I truly would love to see him be successful but I don't like the lack of a killer instinct and playing simply not to lose. Unfortunately, that's what you get with Brown regardless of who his assistant coaches are; it's the way he runs the program.

@@Greenface35 Campbell fired his best friend the offensive coordinator. I give him credit for doing what had to be done. So far, it looks like it has worked.

It's going to take an act of God if Neal and company win more than 6 games this year. We know that GG won't be benched in favor of Nicco. We know that Yates is the supposed best we have and we know that there's little to no accountability on guys like Lesley. It just kind of is what it is for now. Grin and bear it I guess.

But in the off season the defensive coach much be fired no matter what pay him his buy out all the coaches are not responsible for one guy to bring down the whole team period.

Hate to say it, but your right about firing NB. He will be here for 3 more years. Wren really messed up with that contract extension. I still don't know why he did it.
@pitchshot286814 сағат бұрын
Because GEE told him to do that. Wren does not make those kinds of decisions, he just excuses them.
@codyparsons680019 сағат бұрын
Jamie Chadwell would be a good hire. NB can’t win against in Quality opponents. The only reason he went 9-4 last year was the big12 was down across the hole conf.

WVU didn’t play Texas, Kansas State, Kansas or Iowa State last year. Sub those in for four we did play and WVU is 4-8 at best.

If the eers don’t make a bowl game there is absolutely 0 justification to bring back Neal, and I’ve been a staunch supporter of him. When is enough enough?

Chris,Mike. If your really tired of the " Brown era" . Quit enabling the university. Quit telling fans to buy the lie your told to write every season. The university isnt going to do anything, at all about the football program until it starts loosing money. 100% truth. Either keep the agony, or put a stop to it. Your choice.

Neil hasnt had a QB to this point. We have beaten an FCS, a team that doesnt know who they are and a team without a defense. Check our QB play against the losses. Dont give me Pitt! He had the damn ball at the end. Last year's losses, same thing. Dont give me Houston either. Dont take your damn helmet off!! We are still in the drivers seat of our season. The defense will play well enough this weekend. Watch to see, in another tight game if our QB runs and/or passes us to a win.

The good news is next year the schedule likely lightens up a bit at least in the non conference. Hopefully the league doesn’t schedule a gauntlet like they did this year.

If a player is hurt you take him out. Since the head coach didn't move him around to another place on the line and put the backup in. Then coach needs fired because he is going only with his seniors only.
