The most unrealistic thing in this clip is that he'd be flying a plane with his name and callsign on the side. Any combat pilot will tell you that it's rare that you fly the jet that has your name on it. Also, seeing that his callsign was "Badger," in my mind, I hope the Secret Service kept that and made his wife's "Mushroom," even though it'd usually have to be another "B" word. Oh, and walking on the flight line without earpro.

Re call name "Badger". The pilots usually pick their own. Sometimes it's handed to them. The principle reason for them is clear communication while in flight. Quite possible there's more than one John Smith in the flight or group or a Wjorwinowskivitch. With only a half of a nano second to make a life or death decision, can't waste time with a "who?" "what!" "say again." Clear, individual, distinctive. Plus, has bad ass flair.

:) Most American fighters have large cockpits, they are designed for "all American corn feed boys". Being too short is much more of a problem as you can't see over the dash or sides. Some planes like the P-47 required that you be at least 6' to fly comfortably. German and British fighters on the other hand did have tight cockpits. This was not true for all aircraft though, some like the DC-3 (C-47) had very tight cockpits, I was at an airshow when I was 10 and I could just barley get into and out of the seat of a DC-3. Those guys were small. Most of what you see in the movies is a joke when it comes to scale. I have seen some where the set was at least 3 time too wide and an extra 2 feet too high. :) I imagine it is to make filming easier and keep from baking the actors to death under the lights.
