the large house nearby was most likely used as a local HQ or rest area for officers or injured soldiers, maybe it had field artillery or anti air emplacement! many large mansions were seized and used by nazis!

The NIVEA tube is a tube of very thick cream, mostly, for hands, but for any skin that is chapped or cracked to help moisten it. The cap has the company’s logo for Procter and Gamble. It must be WWII because the middle initial was dropped many years ago in the USA.

Hey Mike I am enjoying your videos. what are you actually doing with all the stuff you find? I guess you Bury most of it again. what have you brought home so far? would it be possible to see the collection. Regards
@IronMikeMetaldetecting7 жыл бұрын
Hi T! The large rusty crappy stuff gets reburied. I usually take the smaller good looking stuff with me, but I don't take ammo and the 'I don't knows' that could be dangerous. What I have brought so far isn't that much, just the smaller stuff. I've got a small collection which I found, traded and also bought here and there. Don't want to make a video of it, but could put up some pictures on facebook if you like. facebook.com/IronMikeMetalDet

Hi Mike, I'm wondering why you can't keep old spent bullets or rusty old shells? Is there a limit on what you can keep? Can you sale any of the relics you find? Great Hunting
@IronMikeMetaldetecting7 жыл бұрын
Hi Cheryl, sorry for the late reply. I can keep fired/empty casings but not the live ones because of strict European gun-laws. I could sell what I find but I rarely do. Good things I'd like to keep for myself.

Man, it is a *very* good thing to see a content notification from you. Great finds, and just another all around awesome video. Was that sniper rifle a Mauser 98K with a 4X, the Czech version, or maybe a Russian Mosin PEM? Could not tell, but that was an especially neat find. And a massive "LOL!" at the dish washing "incident" at the end. 😂
@IronMikeMetaldetecting7 жыл бұрын
Thanks David! Glad you enjoyed the video. Really don't know what type the gun was. It was in real bad shape, it just crumbled in my hands. I was glad to get the most of it on video (psstt.. bit of a spoiler but patrick found a k98 sniper version, but you'll see that in another video).
@davidmarks72337 жыл бұрын
Thoroughly enjoyed it, as I do with all your videos. And you are more than welcome. I think I can speak for everyone in saying that we are very glad you got that on camera, too, and it really furthered the trip back into the WWII era. Oh, and that is the best kind of spoiler! I cannot wait to see that. But your secret is safe with me. ;)

David Marks On your mark,get set go! You better be faster than that,bitch!
@loganbaileysfunwithtrains6066 жыл бұрын
David Marks it has the slender look of a Mosin but I don't know if there was any Russian snipers camped in the woods around Berlin, I would think that the red army would have been too preoccupied in the city, so I'd say it's probably a Mauser from a German who was dug in for the final fight

@IronMikeMetaldetecting7 жыл бұрын
Hi Eric! Usually just the live rounds. Gun-laws are strict here, it's illegal to own or carry live ammo.
Your unspent shells you burried, the necked down ones, looked like Russian 7.62x25 tokarev from pistol or machine gun

@14:08, I didn't know that Nivea was a German company, it's been a household name in UK for as long as I can remember!, you learn something new every day!! Nivea (pronounced [niˈveːaː]) is a German personal care brand that specializes in skin- and body-care. It is owned by the Hamburg-based company Beiersdorf Global AG. The company was founded on March 28, 1882, by pharmacist Paul Carl Beiersdorf.
