@@Dottol- he isn’t using these items just for entertainment it’s not even for entertainment it’s to teach people about history and that’s why he also does re-enactments. And again when he finds dogs tags he try’s to look for there family and give them those tags but if there tags that are the secondary tags then he will take them cause he knows someone has already token the other tag to report that soldier dead during the war it’s not like he’s going to veterans graveyards and digging up stuff he’s JSUT going to a battle group and finding interesting stuff to teach peoppe

An amazing collection & your restorations on all of your helmets are correct. There are plenty of reference books on German helmets out there. Unfortunately there are plenty people out there who do not do the research. Their ignorance is what hurts the hobby in every respect. Your grandfather's paintings are fantastic! My grandpa was born in 1937 the Netherlands and he had 3 brothers, but he was the only one that came out. And his dad was a post man and was caught by the Germans, but he was really fast on his bike so he escaped and joined the military and became a soldier. He was a general and he made it out of the war, but he died about 29 years ago, but we will never forget his loss for the good soldier/person he was.

Edit: you should check out Dragonman’s channel, he has a whole museum full of everything from the American Revolution to modern day Wars. I actually have a US army pocket knife. It is a WEll Ulster US Mountain Division Pocket Folding Knife. It is rare and cool. It has a wood texture on the outline and you can see some of the rest on it! Nice collection too! You are probably one of the most dedicated collectors,out there! KEEP up the good work!

Very impressive collection. I have a modest amount of ww2 artifacts in my office. Mostly Panzer tracks and tools along with my Grandfather's uniform as a medic in the US Army. I imagine that stuff is overwhelming at times.

I am collecting ww1 and ww2 items since I am 12 years old and now I am 19, at the beginning when i started collecting i owned very few and not valluable items but now my collection is getting bigger and bigger and it become a very serious and valluable collection. Now I own a m1916 m1940 and m1942 german helmets, many ww1 and ww2 bayonets, medals etc. The most important thing i learned on your channel is when you really like something you will be able to get it no matter what! My great great grandfather was also a sailor,of course he was a American soldier but still I think it’s cool that they were both sailors. His name was Thomas,durrum,vice.he joined in 1944,and was going to be part of d-say but they cancelled the plan because they had enough.also love your vids ❤️

Yeah my Great Grandfather served in the Wehrmacht. Was captured by the russians and spend 10 years in Siberia before being released, was of one of the few lucky ones to have survided. According to my Grandfather he never talked abouti it and became a heavy drinker after that. Died at the age of 52. I am myself Dutch but my grandfather on my mothersside is german and moved 58 years ago to the Netherlands.

Truly amazing ! I also had family in the resistance (Luxembourgish resistance) and I had a grand oncle who was drafted in the german army and served on the eastern front. He came back alive, after he passed away several years ago, we where cleaning his old house and I found an old stinky plastic bag with old papers inside which probably was gonna be thrown away since no one cared. I looked inside and I found a $hit load of feldpost he sent to his family and there where also some cool pics of him in uniform. I just cant read his handwriting very well 😅

The door opening is scary and I belive itd definitely real paranormal. I had a simalr experience where my helmets where out of place, bullets and books fell of the shelf in the middle of the night. Also I was in the group where they were discussing your helmet restoration and o my god they really hate you and its so stupid because they think you destroy history and guess what they don't even watch your channel.
