WW2 Veteran, 104, Shares Keys to Long Life & Happiness - Brea, CA

Today's 104th birthday of Seal Beach resident Cliff Pedersen was celebrated in Brea with an appreciative crowd of community volunteers gathered to honor his colorful life and his enthusiasm for community service.
Mr. Pedersen, an energetic WW II Air Force veteran and father of four, began life in 1917, living to celebrate Lindbergh's 1927 first solo non-stop transatlantic flight (in 33.5 hours), nineteen U.S. presidencies, enduring two world wars, on into the advent of 21st century Space Shuttles, computers, and world-at-a-glance internet-connected cell phones.
From his first job at age ten, earning $7.50 per week, through his current weekly
community service at the Easter Seals Senior Day Services Center in Brea, we are profoundly inspired by this cheerful generous character. We honor this true gentleman in our midst - the epitome of a genuine national treasure.
