Good to see that EE is in better health. Finding the exact location from a photo is almost like finding a needle in a haystack especially when the topography has changed so much with the growth of trees and bush. Back in the day I'm sure the Germans kept all foliage down to a minimum for clear vision and firing. Well done to the both of you for locating EE's spot.

He doesn't reveal the locations to preserve the sites from the graffitti artists and people that would trash the sites , and I respect that . Do some investigation on your own to find the locations , using the views he shows , sometimes it isn't too hard , other times its quite a challenge ! But I have found many of them , and have them pinned on my Google Earth program . Never give up and Never Surrender !

So, so, cool that you guys finally found the photo location. Despite everything being shut with concrete, this whole location has still proven to be a fascinating place to see. And yes, it would have been an awesome place to be stationed, with some truly spectacular views, except, as you say, during the winter storms. Then it would have been the last place you'd want to be. Thank you both for trekking all over the place, and sharing such amazing finds. Cheers to you both! Best wishes to EE for a speedy recovery! Stay strong! Stay positive!

Congratulations on finding the spot in the photo - that's some incredible detective work there lol. The fact that the installation has remained virtually unchanged in 80 years is fantastic - I just wonder what the purpose of the little hut was. I would have thought it would otherwise be a gun position, so maybe they just put it up for a special occasion. And also great that you got to see the inside of the last bunker. I'm really intrigued to see that the air system stuff was still in situ, and that it retains it's original colours. Heck, it looks almost new! They would be great for a museum, certainly. Unfortunately it makes you wonder what remains in the other structures that are completely sealed. Big sigh. All the best to you and EE - hope he's getting much better!
