WWE 2K23 My Rise The Legacy & The Lock All Cutscenes (Game Movie)

The Legacy storyline left ALOT to be desired, man. One of the very few things I liked about 2K22’s MyRise was the fact that you could cross brands and win other championships. While the storylines were cluttered and all over the place, atleast they were diverse, based on what brand you were in. If they could toss in a longer storyline with deeper branching decisions, this would be a perfect mode. Hell, even The Lock storyline was a bit short, but atleast they allowed you to cross brands and win other titles. They even allowed you to lead your own FACTION. I was super confused when your women’s superstar won the Smackdown title at Mania and didn’t get to defend it or engage in further storylines with it.

Basically the Legacy story is "Road to Wrestlemania" while the Lock story is the WWE 12 Outsider Storyline but with 2K22 story booking.

The Lock story mode could've been way better. No WrestleMania match, no alternative outcomes. What was the point of giving us those choices if the end result was gonna be the same?

The legacy just felt off. It should have had a long singles championship storyline added versus what we got. I was happy to complete it but it didn't satisfy me. I miss the cross brand experience

I'd don't know, it's seem like it's setting up the next storylines for the next game in WWE2k24 with Molly for L.J and Slade for Lock (Lock's really needs a new nickname for the next game though lol.)

Feel like the Legacy MyRise should have branched into two paths dependent on whether you were face or heel: Face: Plays out as shown Heel: You betray your aunt instead and show that you'll wreck anyone including family, to remain at the top

Little things to improve my rise. Make custom attires for the story. Like the Lock, with a new evolution and hurt business, it'd be nice if the developers made custom gear for the new groups. Plus it's more content to unlock. So if you like those new stables made, you can use that in universe mode. Also let the player have more choice. Sure you get a left or right kind of choice, but it funnels to a similar ending. Like what if for the lock story you actually do trust the system and follow along. You're heel, and you see where that takes you. More stories then in wwe rather than the babyface where you go back to the indies. Let the player handle how they get to a destination. Again like the lock you have a deadline to get a championship match and build a stable. Let me choose do I burn time trying to gain legends and higher ranked wrestlers in my faction. Or do I go straight ahead with whoever. Or do I still do it alone. Do I jump someone, demand rematches etc.

@@bigtimecena3676 same thing every year but lack of game modes for example were in 2023 and you can’t have an in depth freedom in career modes linear storylines are not worth $70 and it’s like a lot of sports games are just up to date versions of last years version of the game so why not just charge $20 for an update instead

Played as a face the first time playing it, gonna go back and make the heel decisions to see how it goes. The only heelish thing I did the first time was use the chair. Other than that, it was babyface decisions all around.

You know truth with all due to respect I did kind of enjoy this year's my rise then last year last year it was okay but it was kind of short I mean it's not perfect like THQ storylines used to be but hey even in the modern era wrestling storylines don't be good as yesterday wrestling storylines however for 2k24 I'll be hoping the developers can make your male and female superstars have a crossover not quite like 2K20 but almost like except without the glitches are ridiculous storylines 😂

I like this year there was a story for both my rise. Just good lord was the lock story bad. If anything I disliked the lock. Because Shawn is right you are handed it all yet complain about everything. The story would've worked better if Shawn was obviously sabotaging you, yet you make it work to a victory somehow. So the ending with Slade would show why you don't "trust the system" under Michaels. Also I so wish you could unlock the my rise characters to use in universe mode. Because both the mens and womens endings allude to their time just starting. What's next for them, but you can't continue that story yourself.
