If the game says Luke is #1 there’s no debate. It’s a part of the game and if Luke completed the goal to get a trophy and it puts him in first then that’s how it is. Pete, you can see where you are at in game when you’re booking and try to get a trophy too.

If you’ve ever played Mario Party, I see the HOF trophies like stars and the fans as coins. Just like in Mario Party, if the players have the same amount of HOF trophies, the game will then take fans into consideration as who’s in front. I think that’s how you guys should handle that

The problem with that imo is that coins do a lot in Mario Party. You can buy things that get you stars easier, you need them to get stars the conventional way, etc. This means coins play a role in Mario Party games, even if you don't end in a tie. Fans in this game aren't like that, they don't give you any sort of bonus or anythings as far as I know, so it would be a completely useless metric unless they happen to tie.

In episode 1 at the 7:07 mark the screen says “To enter the Hall of Fame and prove you are the best, be the first GM to earn 10 Hall of Fame trophies.” No mention of fans or money. Play by the 2k23 rules! 😊 Luke is winning!

2k23 is more focused in Hall of Fame trophies, and in the very first episode of this season you said that, so you were going to see how it plays out. But really Luke looked at the trophy requirements and worked on that. He deserves to be leading. Pete did everything for the fans, but WWE -as it is in real life- has other parameters.

The HOF trophies aren't as arbituary as you think. Once you reach a certain amount of fans, and made a specific amount of money you'll get one each, and whoever is on the top by the end of a season also gets one. It's actually a big part of the season and something you can work on throughout the season. There's a reason to book good shows for those 2 HOF trophy alongside doing 5 of those goals you guys are already aware of which awards you with 1 HOF trophy.

honestly audience numbers is far more arbitrary than the trophies if you think about it, considering how random the numbers of fans charity promos give you now, and how nigh impossible it is to predict star ratings of matches. the trophies give you a solid defined way to say who is FIRST

Fans arent the only way to win. You can achieve other metrics to win the season so Luke is number 1. Having numerous ways to go about winning adds alot of strategy to achieving a winner, plus it really heightens the tension on which of you is doing 1 thing vs another to try and achieve said victory. I think this is awesome.

I agree with a lot of commenters. The rules of the game are the rules of the game. But if both want to alter the rules for their own reasons, up to them. I still see Luke as winning since he's played the way the game was supposed to be played, whether by design or accident.

I would agree to that even though the different trophies should have their respective amount of fan's considering u get them for different milestone's or completing the challenges and not to forget the "you won the season" trophie wich would be extremely unfair in my opinion.

I think they should go by what the game says. If the game says Luke is winning because of the HoF trophy, he's winning. It's part of the game and they clearly want it to factor into the standings for the mode.

It’s not so much booking bad shows and ‘booking what the game is telling us to book’, nor is it a matter of more fans I win sort of thing. It’s much more strategic game where it’s a combination of both, booking good shows whilst actually hitting certain checkboxes simultaneously. It’s not wwe 2k22 where it’s relatively one dimensional, it’s much more detailed which you guys need to get to grips with and not ignore other elements of the game mode which make is as great as it is.

In any competition you have rules to win. If you chose to ignore them and then you lose, then that is on you for not following the rules. It also rings a bit hollow when you book nothing but charity promos to exploit what you thought would win the rankings for you. Pete has plenty of time to compoete your tasks to get the hof trophy, evening things out and thus making fans the first tiebreaker. If you were a gm and you constantly ignored what the owner told you to do, it wouldnt matter if you had great attendance, the owner would fire you and say you did a bad job. Besides, it is WWE, this might be the most realistic gm mode there is that an owner, aka Vince, would tell you to do things that make your show worse, but you have to do them because he said so. It is how we get Omos vs Brock when nobody asked for it.

Luke is winning fair and square. I saw someone else make the Mario party enalogy and it is very much correct. The hof trophies are like the stars in that game, they put you ahead no matter what the rest of the stat's are. Even in 2k22 you could be in the lead with less fans if you had much more money too so fans have never been the only indicator of who is in the lead, it goes off everything. Don't know why Pete doesn't just conform and get a trophy 😂 they are very easy to get even while booking normally

It really is difficult waiting on the next episode, Really excited to see what is going to happen in Ep.11. Pete was taking a commanding lead and with this PPV, Luke pulled back in terms of fans. I think Luke does really well on bigger shows, while Pete excels at week to week play, keep up the aweome work guys

I think the hall of fame trophies should count as a lot of them are things like "reach a certain number of fans" or "gain a budget of $$$", things that you'd be trying to do anyway and they do make sense.

Honestly don’t think there’s an debate. Luke is winning. He’s played the game correctly. He has (unintentionally or not) balanced earning fans and spending money to book stipulations etc for the trophies. Instead of just spending your budget on 3 charity promos and winning no matter what, you now have to try different mechanics and do things differently. You can also get trophies for getting x amount of fans or x amount of money or by having the most of either by the end of the season. So you can still go all in on fans. I think it’s an improvement, allows for more tactics and flexibility
