If the game says Luke is #1, he is #1. The game changed the rules and you have to adapt to them. Pete is a good manager, im sure he can take a few minutes off checking the goals and try to do some of them. They add a different layer of strategy to them

Luke definitely made the right choice shakeup wise. Instead of getting three cards that would be tough to choose from next time, he can actually save money over this upcoming stretch, which he needs.

The shakeup cards can become pretty deadly(pun intended) with some effects. There's a certain card that in my opinion completely busted where if you book a fighter for charity promos, the cost is tripled, but the fans from it are also tripled

Agreed, that's the rules of the current game and therefore that is what you have to work with... although I do think it's a stupid way to play because you can just go after the trophies and win even if you put on the worst show I think a better way of doing it would be if the trophies give you additional bonus fans

The one thing I've noticed from my GM is they should have trophies like the Andre the giant battle royal one or the money in the bank as popularity boosters and kind of wish there were an even amount of cases like how many female giants are there without just wanting to do a custom roster using CAW to draft from.
