Randy helps you winning the IC title back and teaches you living life Evolution-style (Suits,women, riding expensive cars and by being a good friend). On the other hand MVP helped you become the WWE champ. At some point you understand that having an external mouth isnt serving you and you end up turning on him becoming your own man.

He's essentially William Regal. From what he references to his entire moveset when you play as him. It's all Regal, I'm guessing at first they wanted him in game again as your mentor. But he was in aew at the time so removed him and made an OC.
