I think it's more psychological than that. In this day and age, people hate being told who to cheer for. When you position someone as a face, it's almost like the WWE is outright saying 'Cheer this man', and crowds naturally do the opposite. I agree. The Raw tag team division may have more star power on it but other than Enzo and Cass, it's just shit when its compared to Smackdown. When watching a tag team promo or any promo on Smackdown, it feels more like real life. Most of Raw's promos are just trash mainly because of the PG restrictions and the crappy writing. And with Monday Night Football back for the time being, viewership of Raw is going down. (Not as much as TNA with them competing with Thursday Night Football. I don't know what they were thinking competing with America's Game instead of Smackdown but I don't run them) Raw should try and be as edgy as Smackdown if they want to draw more people into their audience. Smackdown doesn't need to do that cause they're on a night where nothing else major is on.

Clash of Champions should become a dual-brand PPV where the champions of Raw battle the champions of SD. No titles at stake, simply champion vs. champion: World vs. Universal, Intercontinental vs. U.S., etc. Storylines don't have to be that complicated. Whoever holds the belts leading up to the PPV get ready to wrestle. Each match can then be given a substantial amount of time, highlighting the participants' wrestling abilities. This would truly make it a clash of champions.

I think the problem with Clash of Champions is that one would think that with the raw roster you could make better shows than smackdown, however, with fewer main eventers backlash did it better, it was more rewarding and conclusive. When you have over 4 matches ending in no contest, or being determined by interference it really sours the experience.

You're completely right about WWE''s schedule atm though There's too much fucking WWE Like literally too much Raw needs a cut down to 2 hours Same with Smackdown though to even out the brands It should be Monday Night Raw Friday Night Smackdown Both of them two hours Good bit of brand heat every now and then Actually make it seem like a wrestling show as well, rather than this ''sports entertainment'' nonsense, they're wrestlers, every now and then they should be called that Leave NXT on but no superstars or heat or any other bullshit show around there NXT and it should be one and a half hours or one hour And then every 6 weeks a ppv, make it something worth being excited for, something fans have waited to see, make it so the buildup to the ppv has been fucking hyped Fuck this I'm going playing WWE universe mode

I'm so burnt out of wrestling at the moment, I'm thinking of cancelling the network and watching UFC instead. It's matches are more entertaining and exciting and shit just isn't drawn out with over the top repeated segments every week. WWE basically has the same matches for like 2/3 months in a row then it changes and then the new matches repeat months in a row and nothing interesting really happens any more. They need the hardcore belt and more backstage matches, more OMG spots, more TLC and table matches. The current year has been kinda repetitive and really dull.

Assuming they keep up the no branded PPV's in months with Big 4 ppv's and MITB we've got 14 branded PPV's a year at 3 hours each. 5 big four PPV's at 4-5 hrs each Plus 20 KickOff Shows at 1 hr each for 84hrs of PPV. NXT does 4 Takeovers a year at 2 hours a piece for another 8 hours (total 92) Raw is 2hrs (without ads) SmackDown Live + Talking Smack is 2 hrs without ads for 208 hrs of Weekly main show (total 300 hours) Nxt is 50 minutes a week for 43 hours (total 343 Hours) Main event and superstars are 40 minutes a piece (excl ads). for 69 hours (total 412 hours) So there is now 17.2 days of WWE content a year or a full working day's worth per week. It's easy to get burnout, especially if it's your job to watch and analyse it all. I tried for one week to watch everything after having not been able to watch for a while. 12:40 in one week (It was money in the bank weekend) made me not want to watch wrestling for a fair while and that was a week of pretty damned good wrestling.

Everyone seemed to hate the best of seven from the start, but I have to say I have really enjoyed it. The clothesline finish wasn't great, but I liked the tie result, this was the best match out of seven good matches, Cesaro and Sheamus deserve some praise for keeping it interesting.

Each brand should do a PPV every two months with each brand's PPV alternating every month like the old days of the brand split. This way, it frees up opportunities to occasionally have big matches on RAW and Smackdown and have the major titles be defended on these shows more on special occasions.

The fact that we are already feeling a bit of PPV fatigue after the first month on this new schedule isn't great is it? I still love Jericho he saved the end just by making sure he wore that scarf and top combo and kept screaming about his best friend.
