I saw Viscera once in like 08 on the indies when I was a kid. He was so cool and took a photo with me and talked for like 15 minutes while I asked him a bunch of questions. When I took a photo with him pretty much everybody backstage was like "Yo i want a photo with him!" You could see he appreciated it and I've always taken criticism of him as a bit of a shot to the heart because I could tell he cared a lot even as a kid and just wanted to be the best possible wrestler he could be. Probably one of the coolest interactions I've ever had next to meeting Kurt Angle and Sting.

Saying NOBODY wanted Goldberg to return is such a lie. People have been fantasy booking Goldberg vs. Lesnar II for the longest time and when it finally became a thing fans soon realized what they ask for is not always the best thing. People meme'd about how Batista should return because John Cena was using sit-out powerbombs. WWE brought him back, he won the Royal Rumble and was originally booked to win the title from Orton until DB was so over they couldn't ignore it any longer. Same thing with Elsworth. Fans acting like they didn't want most of these returns but cheered when they happened is simply stupidity.

Y'know what's insane about the Goldberg comeback? The first and last angles he did as part of it, with Brock and Bobby Lashley, are actually pretty good, its literally everything in between that's the problem. Having him squash KO, Bray, and Dolph for no reason other than Bill presumably being bored at home was wild, and don't even get me started on that title match with Drew OR that Crown Jewel match with Undertaker. But the matches with Brock were genuinely great, and I enjoyed the stuff with Lashley a fair bit too, with his son getting involved and the No DQ match to wrap it up. The main takeaway I got from his comeback was that it just hammers home how some legends can still put in the work in traditional matches when they come back (Rock, Batista, Trish, Lita), while some should definitely stick to specialty matches or squashes against other legends (Bret, Stone Cold, Mick Foley) and just bask in the novelty and the crowd buzzing from that
